Chief Justice John Roberts confirmed the authenticity of the leaked draft opinion indicating the Supreme Court would upend Roe v. Wade as he announced an investigation into the source of the 'betrayal.'
'To the extent this betrayal of the confidences of the Court was intended to undermine the integrity of our operations, it will not succeed. The work of the Court will not be affected in any way,' Roberts wrote in a Tuesday morning statement.
'We at the Court are blessed to have a workforce - permanent employees and law clerks alike - intensely loyal to the institution and dedicated to the rule of law. Court employees have an exemplary and important tradition of respecting the confidentiality of the judicial process and upholding the trust of the Court. This was a singular and egregious breach of that trust that is an affront to the Court and the community of public servants who work here.'
'I have directed the Marshal of the Court to launch an investigation into the source of the leak,' Roberts added.
Roberts said that though the document was authentic, it does not represent the 'final decision' of any members of the court.

Roberts will do all in his power to see that Roe is NOT overturned. Whoever has the dirt on Roberts has issued marching orders.

Exactly. I have zero faith that anyone will be caught or held accountable. Roberts is a coward until he identifies the leaker and publishes the opinion as final, and unchanged.
Dirt not needed on Roberts. He’s a progressions all on his own. He did pro-bono work early in the cause for homo marriage in Colorado. He doesn’t need to be blackmailed to support the cause.
I'm sure Roberts doesn't even believe that.
