Taiwan Forced to Go Howitzer-Free as US Military-Industrial Complex Pumps Out Guns for Kiev
Sputnik News ^

Posted on 05/02/2022 5:04:54 PM PDT by captain_jonas

Taiwanese media blamed the delays on the US military-industrial complex’s focus on sending arms to Ukraine, with some outlets going so far as to suggest that the 2021 arms deal had effectively been “cancelled”.

Ukraine was more important than Taiwan, due to their connections to the Biden Family and other high-ranking US politicians. Bummer for Taiwan.

Taiwan is getting their stuff. So I’d South Korea. But at the expense of our military.

Who paid more to the Bidens?

Ukraine, Russia, or China.

No question, China comes out on top.

Fact is we’re not spending enough on defense and putting all our money into nonsense like climate change.

Would not surprise me to find out the Ukraine situation was provoked as cover for helping China take Taiwan.

Can’t figure out why China hasn’t made it’s move on Taiwan yet. Timing would be perfect for them.

The focus here is false (no surprise, considering that it’s from Sputnik News, which is a Russian government-owned “news” agency).

It’s the West’s support of Ukraine that will make China be very wary of invading Taiwan.

Russia is the country that can’t handle a second military front right now, so Russia is the one at risk from China at the moment.

“Would not surprise me to find out the Ukraine situation was provoked as cover for helping China take Taiwan.”

It is almost becoming believable. The LAST THING that our government wants is having to go deal with Taiwan under attack - where it’s let it drop, or fight China. Now the Neocons (especially here) can say to Taiwan “Sorry, out of weapons, you’re on your own!”.

This will be our socialists plausible deniability excuse when they let china take over taiwan. We had to give them all to ukraine for russia to destroy.

All fhe socialists can achieve some sets of their goals

Russia gets targrt practice
China will invade taiwan more safely
Usa is further deweaponized

And the fallout over Taiwan getting invaded will be far worse than any impact from a 3rd world nation like Ukraine.

We are led by fools.

I think a new Ford Class Carrier cost $14B. Biden was looking for $33B this week to pi$$ away in Ukraine. Xi has to be loving this.

Sputnik News suddenly concerned with Taiwan, or is it with howitzers reaching Ukraine.

Ukraine's Democrat cash factory is more important than Taiwan's semiconductor factories.

Tell me about it - we’d EASILY be able to afford Reagan’s 600 ship navy (which I consider to be a bare minimum to be a credible world power today)...IF we didn’t bother with Iraq and Afghanistan...and like you say, we could do a LOT with that money other than handing all of our weapons over to Russia.

Taiwanese TSMC and South Korean rival Samsung have near total control of the leading edge of the semiconductor industry with TSMC significantly ahead of Samsung. This situation in which global production capabilities have been concentrated in just two countries leads to significant geopolitical challenges and contributes heavily to changes in global technopolitics.

Note the neoconned clowns on this thread who have been hitting the Blue and Yellow drank are basically asking Taiwan to go to the back of the bus and quit harshing their buzz over Saint Zel The High-Heeled Cokeboy.

I don't get the premise of this article at all either.

A confrontation with China would at least begin as a naval/air conflict, and none of those assets are committed to what's going on with Ukriane and Russia. Same with our allies.

The two conflicts don't overlap militarily in the slightest.
