Nationwide, cases have been rising all through April, but from a very low level, and at a slow rate.
Apparently, it is the BA.2 subvariants of Omicron, that are more infectious than the original Omicron. Because Omicron was so infectious, there isn’t much room left a more infectious subvariant to make much more of a spread - and it does not seem to be any more serious, in terms of the symptoms.
Immunity is already widespread, and hospitalizations and deaths are not changing much either. A few more hospitalizations.
Thanks for your sane and correct response. Unfortunately, many of us live in parts of the country where they still obsess about “cases.”
THANK YOU for plainly stating “more infectious” is not equal to “more deadly”; that little pivot point is totally lost on so many brain-dead consumers of CNN.
