As subscribers continue to flee in droves, the left-wing Netflix is taking an axe to its original programming development in an effort to rein in spending. The newest casualty: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, whose planned animated series has reportedly been cancelled.
Netflix has dropped Pearl, the working title of the animated series that was created by Meghan Markle through Archewell Productions, the company the Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry set up at Netflix last year, according to a report from Deadline.
Pearl, about a 12-year-old girl who meets influential women throughout history, was reportedly still in the development stage. Insiders at the streamer told Deadline that other projects in Archewell’s deal with Netflix could still see the light of day, including the upcoming documentary series Heart of Invictus.
As Breitbart News reported, Netflix recently canceled two other animated shows in development — Dino Daycare from executive producer Chris Nee, and the adventure series Boons and Curses. The cancellations come after Netflix shocked Wall Street, reporting a loss of 200,000 subscribers during the first quarter and an expected loss of a whopping 2 million more subscribers in the months ahead. The news has sent Netflix shares into a nosedive, dropping more than 40 percent.
At a recent internal meeting, co-CEO Reed Hastings outlined new austerity measures designed to rein in the company’s famously spendthrift ways, with a focus on “quality” over quantity. In some cases, budgets on new shows will be cut by as much as 25 percent.

I wish I hadn’t axed Netflix years ago so I could axe them now.
Does she really think she's relevant to anyone.
Hah hah. Megan wants to be a big cheese in the RAT party. She should go back to the parts she used to play like screwing around in the back seats of BMW’s with someone else’s boyfriend.
Aw, that’s a shame. I was looking forward to following the hardships of an immigrant family as they try to cope with the challenges of the New World. You know, like Little House On The Prairie. Only in LA.

Of the things I’d like to watch least in life even if paid, a Harkle animated series is way down there.
That’s weird. Up until I read this article, I was convinced that Megan was spelled H O
Sums it up nicely.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
Just the other day my brother told me he was getting rid of Netflix. I cancelled it some years back.
Seems like the gold digger and muppet’s show was a rip of Rush’s original book series theme. Nothing original from the left.
Oprah will probably talk somebody like Tyler Perry into buying that production. And maybe not. Maybe Tyler knows there is not much audience for any output from these two “Un-Smooth” Operators.
I want to see a story about a young American boy trying to cope against leftist woke bullies, and the challenges of trying to deal with leftist local politicians who don’t give a darn about upholding law and order. He refuses to bow down, and eventually gets armed and finds supporters, and they beat the crap out of leftist democrats and elect conservative leaders and judges to clean up neighborhoods. In any big city. (And he is a straight white boy who likes girls.)
The Kardashians managed to hang in there for 15 years making somewhere between 25 and 30 mil per season at the end.
So don’t underestimate the banality of the American tv viewing public.
She always looks like she’s about to puke

That’s my problem with so many companies now. There’s a Taco Bell commercial where two women’s voice overs talk about how much they love the product as they love each other. There’s another featuring a couple of women who appear to be living together or lovers eating Doritos(?). I haven’t kept the volume on long enough to find out which product it is they are so obviously enjoying while looking at one another. Honestly, the gay crowd is three percent of the population and if you just got your demographics from commercials it would appear to be a good fifty percent.
Went woke, gone broke. We got rid of Netflix years ago when we noticed the “Gay and Lesbian” category had more listings than “Children and Family.”
Yes, the last laugh money-wise at least is on us. They make out like bandits for even having their names in the news, positive or negative.
Someone needs to axe Netflix why they couldn’t see this coming.
