As consumers dump their Netflix subscriptions, the far-left streamer is reportedly stopping the production of two more animated kids’ series.
Dino Daycare, created by Jeff King, and the South Asian-inspired adventure Boons and Curses, created by Jaydeep Hasrajani, will not move forward at the streaming giant, according to a report by the Hollywood Reporter.
Dino Daycare was to feature a 6-year-old boy who helps out at a nursery for baby dinosaurs in a world where dinosaurs never went extinct. Boons and Curses was to center around a young warrior — who is made of butter due to a curse — and who takes on an evil ruler.
The two kids series are not the first shows to be canceled at Netflix amid a major loss of subscribers. Planned animated series based on Jeff Smith’s popular comic book series Bone and Roald Dahl’s novel The Twits have also been canceled.
Moreover, an upcoming series based on Lauren Faust’s Toil and Trouble will also not move forward.
The shows being axed at Netflix arrive amid consumers canceling their streaming services to save money amid soaring inflation. Netflix has also suffered its first net subscriber loss in more than a decade.
The streamer is experiencing a crisis in employee morale following a recent report that it lost 200,000 subscribers during the first quarter. Netflix expects to lose a staggering 2 million more in the months ahead. On Thursday, Netflix laid off staffers at its in-house fan site Tudum.

I finally canceled their disc service after 15+ years. A big reason is there just haven’t been that many movies lately I’d want to even rent. And they don’t offer 4k discs either.
If they raise prices one more time this year, I’m done. Prime and thepiratebay have everything you’d need anyway.
“Netflix had a great idea with it’s DVD rentals and then it went streaming”
Seems that was the original plan: knowing that _someday_ internet speeds would be high enough to support high-quality movie streaming, Netflix jumped the holding-pattern competition by starting the DVD-by-mail service. Someone recognized the old aphorism “never underestimate the bandwidth of a station wagon full of magnetic tapes”. Over time, streaming became viable and the DVD service waned (BTW: has it died entirely yet?).
Remember when Netflix tried to separate their mailing movies into ‘Qwikster’.
They have the stink of being run by 20 year old purple haired females.
I thought I was the only one noticing...
“I keep reading in celebrity blinds “
LOL!
Daughter let’s us tag onto her 2-screen subscription. I generally peruse the “Cooking Soon” listings and star the ones I want to be notified about. Generally, there had been a decent number of possibilities that I star.
Lately, there ain’t been Schiff. Just crap.
Time to destroy all woke companies. Then we have to start working to make them never rise in the first place.
My dad still has the Netfix DVD service because of internet speeds and cost for data where he lives. He mostly watches television with an antenna.
A friend’s son, a sophomore in high school, has been emailing colleges who send him brochures and emails. He says neither he nor his parents’ money will attend any college that doesn’t have a white male on the cover. He says they obviously don’t want white men on their campus. He continues saying he wouldn’t be comfortable at such a sexist and racist college. It probably doesn’t make any difference. He’s trying to get friends to join him in his crusade.
“That’s why I really prefer Prime now. The original content on these streaming platforms always sucks.”
I’ve been using IMDb-TV for several months.
Decent selection and more free stuff than Amazon Prime. Amazon bought out IMDb-TV and is now calling it FreeVee. Haven’t seen any changes yet but no doubt there will be.
The FU hollywood crowd left long ago. This is the apolitical and the leftists dropping out. The content is devoid of anything of interest. Even the leftist zombies that promote woke can’t stand to watch the dreck.
LoL. My son has a friend who lives in England and one 4th of July she wished him a “happy insurrection day, ungrateful colonials.” The poke fun at each other quite a bit.
“I thought I was the only one noticing...”
Not hardly.
Amazon has owned IMBD for a long time, nothing new.
Heh, funny.
I guess it’s like duck, but I would feel bad.
I didn’t want to find out. Same place was advertising whale.
I decided on lamb, potatoes and beer.
