"And once they are taxes, where does the money go?"

I'm sure Musk hopes for more of the same. As it is some state governments and national governments already force some companies to buy 'carbon credits' from companies like Tesla. It's a yuge part of Tesla's revenue.

Or, he might just be a man who owns an electric car company and realizes that a ‘carbon tax’ would hurt his competitors and help his bottom line.

But I’m not his competition.

Well, it would depend on the kind of tax. If the tax is domestic and he buys the batteries from a foreign manufacturer, then he could maybe evade it.

“why is co2 a pollutant”

It’s as silly as saying someone dumping a cup of salt in the ocean is polluting.

“as well as approaching Biden early in his presidency about outlawing ICE vehicles.”

Post the quote.

He said that a year ago. More recently he said expand oil production.

He was picked as a young leader years ago, spoke once, and never had anything to do with them again.

True. He flip-flops more than a fish on the docks.

Praise what he is doing but don’t trust him. “Trust but verify.” A quote from a famous president. That is my motto, too.

That’s why he wants to go to Mars. He thinks the earth will become uninhabitable in the future. Meanwhile, what’s the “carbon footprint” of Tesla and SpaceX?

Musk should know this is all about increasing taxes.

He also has CLEARLY stated that there is NOT enough power generation in the USA for the EV’s politicians are demanding.

He says he WILL keep making the cars-—but without enough power generation—it won’t work on a large scale.

He is right...

AND—he is on record saying so.

Yes, and I agree with him on that point.

I neither hate him, nor do I worship him. Like many people, he is a mixed bag - so there will be points of agreement and disagreement. I applaud his work with SpaceX (especially returning manned spaceflight to America’s skillset).

This argument will become more cogent and obvious to the previously brainwashed with the coming food inflation/shortage.

In the animal picture book Elon Musk is next to the entry for “Red Herring”.

He is start to finish a tool and a fraud.

But I’m not his competition.
No, but if you pay taxes you are a source for his wealth.

His wealth is derived from the endless supply of money from taxpayers subsidies etc..

He's a modern Ponzi or Madoff with not ever having a pyramid.

That is his real genius.

If he was doing what he's doing with private investors he'd go to jail.
