Wednesday, during an appearance on FNC’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) reacted to heat-of-the-moment comments reportedly made by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) that blamed him and his colleague Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL), in part, for the January 6, 2021 Capitol Hill riot.
Gaetz warned if House Republicans accepted Democrats’ narratives and reacted as Democrats, it would be a win for Democrats even if the GOP takes power in Congress later this year.

He’s right if they all act like assistant democrats.
That thinking can become too close to Bill Kristol’s rationalizations for wanting the Dems to win.
Exactly! And Mitch McConnell and Pierre Dilecto also!!!!!!
This is what Repukes do EVERY time Matt. Win a majority then claim they want to restore normalcy or some such cuckism, and promptly act like the government is the solution for everything. Then lose the majority again. Because stupid.
Exactly
If we keep re-electing Assistant Democrats, they will keep assisting the Democrats.
It’s OUR fault for re-electing people who have shown us what they are.
Gaetz is correct, for once we need a GOP house to act like they won and remember how they were treated and shut the Dems down, big time.
The Dems will allow Republicans to play in their sandbox if they follow the progressive handbook rules.
Well, it's bad to perpetuate the lie that "Democrats" and "Republicans" are in opposition to one another, so it's incorrect to say "Democrats win" when Republicans don't change anything.
Who wins is the "Donor community", which has specific policy objectives that cannot be realized without their divisive little puppet show they call "elections", where the only truth remains "If votong could change anything, it would be illegal".
Not according to the perfidious BushBot Freepers.
In fact, you can bet that if a given domestic federal social spending program isn't related to the US Mail Service then it is unconstitutional and probably win your bet most of the time.
"Article I, Section 8, Clause 7: To establish Post Offices and post Roads;"
"10th Amendment: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
"From the accepted doctrine that the Unite d States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]." —United States v. Butler, 1936.
In other words, most federal social spending programs are based on stolen state powers and uniquely associated state revenues imo.
”Simply this, that the care of the property, the liberty, and the life of the citizen, under the solemn sanction of an oath imposed by your Constitution, is in the States and not in the federal government [emphases added]. I have sought to effect no change in that respect in the Constitution of the country.” —John Bingham, Congressional. Globe. 1866, page 1292 (see top half of third column)
The feds steal state revenues by means of unconstitutional federal taxes, taxes that the very corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification Congress cannot reasonably justify under its constitutional, Article I. Section 8-limited powers according to the Gibbon's v. Ogden excerpt above.
Also, patriots are again reminded that they must vote twice this election year. Your first vote is to primary career RINO incumbents. Your second vote is to replace outgoing Democrats and RINOs with Trump-endorsed patriot candidates.
I finally got a text from the RNC that didn’t require or ask for a donation, asking me if I was still a Republican and if so why.
I responded something to the effect of “Because y’all often say the right things, even if you don’t vote that way when you get into office. I’m a big Trump supporter and I might make a donation to Trump. I won’t be making a donation to the RNC, so y’all can quit asking.
Its always shocking to republican party members when I tell them I don’t give a crap if republicans win in November. I only care that conservatives win. And that is not the same thing.
Anything that scares the Turtle is a great plan
I do not disagree.
To Gaetz: +1
A Republican majority presents very little threat to democrats’ way of governing.
