"Though we expect our NATO allies and EU partners will be making even larger collective contributions than the United States, there is no doubt that continuing to support Ukraine in this war against Russian aggression will require a substantial additional investment on our part," the president wrote.

Border wall was a drop in the bucket. Dems just opposed that on principle, not cost.

Considering how much we spend on defense every year, it is wildly economical to spend this much to weaken the Russian military.

That's not why you do, but rather a response to one of the arguments as to why we shouldn't. The reason you support them is to discourage blatant aggression by first/second world countries against each other, which is a very worthwhile goal.

Why are we supporting Ukraine? Just ‘cause the left is butt hurt from blaming Putin for everything? Screw them all. It isn’t our affair. You liberals get us into a shooting war with Russia and Russians will be the least of your worries.

The more we send to Ukraine, the longer the war lasts, and the more people get killed. If the US really cared about Ukraine, we would do everything we can to end this war, not prolong it.

No, no, no!!! - That is a proper responsibility for the EU to take on, not the US. We are not a European country and should stop pretending we are.

When a Democrat calls something an investment we know we are going to pay for something that's going to hurt us.

Unfortunately, this will be approved by Congress with broad bipartisan support.

Let the EU fund them.

They've done one crap job with their independence since 1991. The people aren't better off.

Yup, the Reagan strategy. Russia is an economic pygmy compared to the West and can't go toe to toe with us. For us there will be some short term inconvenience but for Russia it will be long term disaster.

“Biden to ask Congress for $33 billion to support Ukraine through September”

This is Europe’s fight, let Europe pay for it.

Bring US troops home and put them on the southern border with orders to shoot the 3 million invaders annually now crossing our border until the wall is finished.

This is insane. We don’t have this money even if we weren’t sending it to one of the most corrupt countries in the word. If have no problem with providing Ukraine with intelligence info, which is proving quite effective. But this pretending we have a money tree to fund certain graft is insane.

We are going broke trying to pay for gas and groceries and this POS keeps handing out money to a stupid country he wanted a proxy war in in.

Go to hell Biden and Congress because I know none of you, except maybe Rand Paul, has the guts to tell you to go pee up a rope.
