Ukraine’s military said Thursday that Russia is "increasing the pace of the offensive operation" a day after Vladimir Putin warned the West that any outside interference would lead to "lightning"-fast retaliatory strikes.
In a direct threat to the West on Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin pledged "lightning" fast strikes on any nation that "interferes" with Russia's war in Ukraine.
"If anyone ventures to intervene from the outside and [pose] unacceptable threats of a strategic nature to Russia, they should know that our counter-retaliatory strikes will take place with lightning speed," he said.

The increasing pace is the clearest proof it’s all bluster. He gets a small window to act while people try to make sense of his threat and by the time they realize it was just bluster he hopes to accomplish whatever he is trying to accomplish.

Always believe Ukraine, especially Ukrainian TV, and even more so CNN, MSNBC, etc.
An endless war in Ukraine will hit home for us very soon in ways most people do not envision. Ukraine produces over half of the Industrial NEON gas in the world (facilities in Mariupol and Odessa). Russia and China produce most of the rest. Neon is an essential and irreplaceable gas used in laser etching of microchips. It is very difficult to refine to 99.99% purity and even the largest chip manufacturers are quickly running out of supply. The price has skyrocketed if you can even get it. This shortage threatens to drastically slow down or even halt much of the microchip production the US and the world needs for production of any goods that have a microprocessor. The price of these items could go through the roof.
Why? Phones and sat communications work fine. There is absolutely no reason for them to set foot in Ukraine.
Those folks are more likely in Poland. And in aircraft flying along the border.
