With the Trump family squarely in the camp of J.D. Vance, running for U.S. Senate in Ohio, Donald Trump Jr. shared a video of Vance’s main opponent lying about his involvement with “establishment Republicans.”
“Ohio friends – Meet the real @JoshMandelOhio. The Club for Chinese Growth backed establishment candidate in the #OHSen race,” Trump Jr. said in a Tweet, sharing the video.
In the video, Mandel is first depicted describing himself as something of a political outsider, claiming that he is standing up to the “squishy establishment” GOP. He mentions Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) as one of those “squishy” Republicans.
But then the video cuts to a video of Romney endorsing Mandel during the latter’s 2012 run for U.S. Senate in Ohio.
“I appreciate what Governor Romney stands for,” Mandel said at the time.
In 2012, Romney was running for President alongside former Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), a known hater of former President Donald Trump until his death in 2018.
In the video, McCain is also highlighted.
“His message is that he’s a centrist,” McCain said of Mandel. “I think that Josh has the leadership – the next generation of leadership – that we need very badly.
Former Gov. John Kasich (R-OH), squarely a member of the Republican establishment, is also featured for his ties to Mandel in the video.
“I’m very much for Josh Mandel for the United States Senate,” Kasich said.
“One of the things that’s setting me apart right now is how strongly anti-establishment I am,” Mandel says at the end of the video.
Trump endorsed Vance last week, giving the candidate in the close race a much-needed boost.
“MAGA patriots from across the nation are set to deliver an election landside [sic] for Republicans that will serve as a devastating rebuke of the failures of Joe Biden and the Radical Left Democrats,” he said in a statement. “In the Great State of Ohio, the candidate most qualified and ready to win in November is J.D. Vance. We cannot play games. It is all about winning!”
Trump Jr. has also spent a great deal of time on the campaign trail, stumping for Vance at events across the state.

This is a tough one.
Both JD and Mandel sound good online.
But both apparently have bigtime historical baggage.
I don’t vote there so it’s not a personal issue.
But it is curious.
Don’t let this get ugly. Too many will check out. Tim Ryan is sounding like the perfect MAGA, hiding his progressive bona fides.
Not sure what the bold part means. Romney picked Ryan as a running mate in 2012. McCain picked Palin in 2008. At least on the surface, this makes no sense or is wrong.

There’s an incredible amount of out-of-state money pouring in to support Vance, it seems. Who is it that’s so desperate to get him on the ticket? Who is it that’s trying to BUY him a seat in the Senate? I don’t think it’s Trump, and I DO think it’s money that will turn on Trump once in office. Vance will have to turn his back on Ohio to pay off those debts.
Trump’s one great fault is trusting what people say without doing due diligence. His support for Vance here, and that Oz character in Pennsylvania is beginning to scare me.

I liked the way President Trump handled the JD Vance situation at the Ohio rally the other night. Trump made JD eat a sh!t sandwich on camera. Gotta love Trump!
So, not Vance. Haven't decided on who, though. Some late reading tonight, I guess.
One should check out the candidates for themselves. Mandel was on Levin. I like what I heard.
The difference is Trump spent months vetting these guys and he already knows Oz personally and knows he isn’t going to screw him. When Trump became President he had never ran for office and had never been in govn’t so he had to rely on some govn’t beurocrats for help. Trump knows Oz personally and better than all the crap posters. There is a chance OZ or JD may end up screwing Trump, but with Dave McCormick and Josh Mandel the Swamp guys you can damn well be sure they will get in bed with the swamp.

So Mendel sought endorsements from gop establishment prior to Trump entering politics. So now Trump wants to destroy him for a rino. I figured it would take Trump a while to be infected with swamp rot. Adios America and enjoy two terms of Joe Biden.
I heard Levin and Mandel. It was a puff interview, so it didn’t give much info.
I missed it. What was the shit sandwich?
Care to share your decision? Voting tomorrow and initially team Mandel, then considered Gibbons and now with PDJT Vance endorsement....
Cruz endorsed Mandel.
Rand Paul endorsed Gibbons.
Trump endorsed Vance.
Vance and Gibbons are wild cards in my opinion. But I don’t want another debacle where Mandel jumps out of the race at the last minute.......
Vance is a progressive lib pretending to be a Republican.
