Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday said “we are enduring dark times” in remarks commemorating Orthodox Easter, which comes amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
“Today we all believe in a new victory for Ukraine. And we are all convinced that we will not be destroyed by any horde or evil,” Zelensky said.

Moscow has done us the favor of demonstrating that NATO is still needed, that Ukraine was right to seek allies, and Moscow has succeeded in uniting Ukrainians in a way Kiev never could.

The Russians weren't and aren't under any obligation to put up with US-funded biolabs with deadly pathogens in them on their borders or us heavily-arming Ukraine. If China or Russia were doing all that in Mexico, we sure as hell wouldn't tolerate it.
Nor do they have sit back and tolerate revolutions that we foment that led to an eight-year war in Donbass and the persecution of the ethnically Russian population in Ukraine. We've been funding and training neo-Nazis and encouraging them to wipe the ethnically Russian population in eastern Ukraine.
All that turned Ukraine into a honey hole for the Big Guy and our corrupt political class and their donors.

Washington is corrupt. As is Moscow and Berlin and Paris. It does not follow that Ukrainians must therefore submit to a Russian invasion. Brussels is corrupt. But Brussels looks pretty good when you have a Russian army inside your borders.

Agreed. NATO and America caused this war. Most Western leaders today are immoral and would have no qualms about causing the deaths of millions of people.

I really hope you didn’t imagine that “biolabs” actually had anything to do with warfare?
You do know that most major hospitals have “bio-labs”, right? Many major farms have bio-labs. Simply saying a country has “bio-labs” is an absolutely meaningless use of buzz-words, nothing more and nothing less.
All countries have biological laboratories. Veterinarians have biological laboratories, for cryin’ out loud. It’s no more strange than a country having lots of medical laboratories—that’s where your GP sends whatever samples he draws from you. They’re not there to infect you with anthrax.

As part of its worldwide surveillance of emerging diseases, American researchers have worked with Ukrainian researchers just as they have worked with other researchers around the world. There is nothing sinister or particularly secretive about this. It is just that most people do not understand the big words that biologists and medical researchers use and so they do not follow the research papers published in scientific journals.
The US has funded medical researchers around the world who are in place to hear about the outbreak of new diseases before the disease spreads to the US. The US has not established any biological weapon production facilities since the shutdown of the American biological weapon program in 1969.

Ukraine has only “won” by remaining independent. It looks clear that it will survive not under Moscow’s thumb.
You can think of this as william Wallace braveheart where Scotland is devastated but retains its freedom.
Ukraine is however highly likely to lose the region around Mariupol and Donbas.
Russia has lost as well.
This war has brought no winners. It is a fool’s war.
Putin could have waited or just sliced off the Donbas in salami tactics. Zelensky would have been voted out in 2023 a d perhaps a pro Russian politician would have won. But Putin rushed.
