Opinion polling released just days before Sunday’s French presidential second round vote has put little distance between President Emmanuel Macron and populist challenger Marine Le Pen.
A poll released Thursday by the firm Odoxa has Macron and Le Pen just six points apart, with Macron receiving 53 per cent in the polling and Le Pen receiving 47 per cent.
According to Odoxa, President Macron is having great difficulties in wooing voters who turned out for other candidates in the first round of the election, and has not been able to attract more than 50 per cent of the voters of any of the candidates who were knocked out in the first round.
Meanwhile, Marine Le Pen should be able to count on around 80 per cent of those who voted for conservative writer and pundit Eric Zemmour.

Guess it all depends on the dominion vote
53 and 47 is not neck and neck
All I know is that French people of my acquaintance I never expected are pro- Le Pen. It will be a huge shock if its even close.
Haven’t seen a real poll in years. They are all targeted.
It may have a “shy voter” element, with respect to polls. The first round seems like it did.
Le mathematique francais. Je ne comprend pas.
It’ll be a huge shock if France’s Deep State doesn’t steal it.
It’s Micro(n), not Macro(n).
Correct. Macron will walk away with the win.
I believe EU (fraud) vote counters will be called in and give it to macaroni.
You want Micropenis to win because of your love for St Kranksy. Admit it.
Their last poll had Le Pen ahead, now they have her behind.
Every other poll has her down too. Some of them by much more. 54-44 is the general consensus.
There is no “steal” in France.
It’s very liberal.
LePen only got 23% in the first round. An outright communist got 21% and Macron got 28%.
Macron and the Communist combine for 49% alone. A bunch of other left wing parties will easily put him over 50%
Not every election loss is a “steal.”
Sometimes people in liberal countries choose leftardism.
I don’t think Le Pen has much of a chance even if she gets more votes
my thoughts as well.
Remember that Trump was behind in the polls in 2016.
I’m going to guess that Le Pen voters are going to be less likely to talk to pollsters than Macron voters.
No Dominion!
They have PAPER ballots, one day voting, and the results are known on the same night.
She’s down 6. That’s not neck and neck nor close
