For the benefit of anybody who still thinks the banderaNazis are winning this thing.....
Excepted Putin tied his forces up also, and got them decimated.
His surprise attack may have gained more ground with these troops in the East to begin with.
What lunacy you spew. Where did you get the notion Russia is self-sufficient? It’s OK in food and fuel, but it has no other meaningful abilities. It’s industries have largely shut down due to lack of critical technology imports. They can’t even seem to make ball bearings. (These closures have been publicly announced on Russian TV.)
Russia possesses no high-tech or service industries and exports almost nothing in either.
As for agriculture, Russia, prior to 2014, imported a significant amount from the EU. It banned them all after the annexation of Crimea and is self-sufficient in everything except fruit, nuts, and berries. (Russia is far from tropical.)
The EU and US are self-sufficient in food production. We do not “need” Russia’s food.
As for fuels and minerals, The US is pretty much self-sufficient in most, but most of our imports of either do not come from Russia. The US is the largest producer of oil and natural gas. (At least it was prior to the installation of Biden.) The US has large deposits of rare earths (which is a misnomer since they are not that “rare.”) and minerals.
The EU has cut Russian imports of fuel oil and natural gas significantly in only a couple of months. They have many options other than Russia to satisfy any “need” that arises.
The US needs almost nothing from Russia. (Russians like to brag that the US needs their rocket engines but SpaceX can now supply that.)
The US needs almost nothing from Russia.

QSorry not buying into your stuff. I will not say what occupation I am in in ( you could guess)- ALL of western aircraft, engine, defense companies received 99 percent of their titanium from Russia, huge amounts of other metals, and forge manufactured titanium and exotic items.
Slow Joe had no idea what his sanctions did to the west, and us.
I find it ironic Vlad’s reverse sanctions has slowed, and in some cases destroyed a huge slice of our defense industry, and commercial , engine industries.
Boeing, Lockheed, Northrop, Rolls Royce, Boeing Defense, Pratt, GE, …the list is long.
And Vlad says, again, Checkmate.
Nice accounting, not from an armchair. It relates to this Ukie Russo war.
When Vlad secures the Donbass, the southern provinces, ( mostly secured), he will have met his stated objectives. He will fortify, and having gained a position of strength, it will be years before the Ukies can rebuild, and the EU will once again wonder what to do with the Ukies. The EU is broke, but I am sure that Ukie war II will somehow be reignited against bad Vlad.
For the historians , ever wonder why the EU AND NATO have never allowed the Ukies to join either?
Nato is now permanently out of the question ( a Vlad win) , and due to the EU being broke, I suspect the Ukies will once again be denied entry to the EU. The EU simply does not have the funds for the Ukies to join,( rebuilding their infrastructure, instating their socialist welfare systems, etc…) kinda like inviting your homeless , destitute cousin to move in with you.
Time will tell. Until then, The Ukie/ Russo War 1 goes to Vlad.
Ukraine has vast reserves of Titanium.
Why the term, “BanderaNazis”?
Jews comprise armed opposing forces to the Russians in the Odesa area.
Ukraine opposed Soviet domination before WWII, and welcomed Hitler’s Panzers as relief.
“Nazis” because Ukrainian troops display precise military parades using Soviet-era affectations?
Sanctions and embargoes on raw materials: Threatening the titanium sponge market.
Russia’s VSMPO-AVISMA is the world’s largest titanium producer, with a capacity of 34,000 tons/year, supplying products to markets in 50 countries and closely linked with the global aerospace industry. In particular, it supplies the majority of titanium products used for aircraft shells by Airbus and Boeing.
Under an agreement signed this past November with Boeing, VSMPO “will remain the largest supplier of titanium for current and future Boeing commercial aircraft,” the Russian company said at the time. VSMPO-AVISMA has also signed 3 long-term agreements with Rolls-Royce for the period from 2016 to 2025, providing titanium products, semi-finished products and equipment made from titanium alloys, with a potential revenue in excess of 300 million dollars. Not only that, VSMPO also signed contracts with Spain’s Aernnova Aerospace until 2028 and UK-based Barnes Aerospace until 2026.

Ukraine may have titanium, unmined? Not sure, but Russia VSMPO is currently the world’s supplier. Oddly enough, Airbus DID NOT sanction Russia, most likely because it needs Russia’s titanium for their aircraft…..they are rumored to be paying in Rubles.
"It's the leading nation when it comes to reserves of titanium, iron and non-metallic raw materials."

They still blame Russia for communism and the Stalin famines of the 1930s despite the fact that Communism is dead and buried in Russia, i.e. a case of misplaced anger...
Lenin is dead, too, but he remains a vacation attraction!

Older Russians are titillated by the sight of the red Soviet flag with hammer and sickle. The “Red” flag appears on propagandized uniforms and postcards.
