The United States lacks the capability to reliably track the array of weapons being sent by the Biden administration to Ukraine, CNN reported on Tuesday, citing sources briefed on US intelligence.
"We have fidelity for a short time, but when it enters the fog of war, we have almost zero," a source said. "It drops into a big black hole, and you have almost no sense of it at all after a short period of time."
The Biden administration factored in the risk of providing weapons to Ukraine that may end up in the hands of militias and other groups that the US does not want to arm, the report said. However, officials currently view a failure to adequately arm Ukraine as a greater risk, the report added.

Anyone thinking any of this stuff is being tracked is delusional. People surprised from this is simply indicative that the US has not seen chaos in a while. We are a bunch of fools.

Way back when I was a company clerk and kept the arms room for my armor company, in my spare time I read a bunch of regulations studying to be an E-4 barracks lawyer.
The regs for distributing ammo and suchlike in peacetime were stringent with detailed record keeping having to be kept, required signatures, etc. In war, it was try and get a bumper number of the truck you toss it on as it drives by.

We have untold amounts of weaponry being sent into Ukraine by the United States and NATO, in an area where fog of war and propaganda are flying fast and furious on all sides...and in a war where the two main belligerents, mind you, are among the most corrupt countries in all of Europe.
For weapons to go ‘missing’ shouldn’t be a surprise; it should be expected.
