PITTSBURGH, Pa. ā At least 11 people were shot and two juveniles were killed in a mass shooting early Easter Sunday in the East Allegheny neighborhood of the North Side.
Pittsburgh Police say they received multiple ShotSpotter alerts just after 12:30 a.m. in the 800 block of Suismon Street.
When police arrived in the area, more shots were being fired and several young people were running on foot and leaving in cars from an Airbnb property at Suismon Street and Madison Avenue.
Police say a large party was happening at the Airbnb with as many as 200 people in attendance. Police say many of the attendees were underage.
As many as 50 shots were fired inside the house and around 50 more shots were fired outside the house, police say.

Airbnb actively enables illegal immigration and other forms of crime.
On the surface it’s a good idea. However, it invariably leads to lots of problems. Do you live near temporary rentals? Yeah, expect for your homeowner’s and other insurance to go WAY up.

My son-in-law works for AirBNB and says they have a TON of insurance to cover these things.
I stayed in an AirBNB recently in the Bay Area and the “people” who were there the week before broke down the door b/c they’d been locked out (instead of calling the host to let them in). Major damage to door, estimate $1,000 to fix - I suspect far higher from what I’d seen.
I think criminal action should be taken against people who do this - but if they’re the “right” color, nothing will happen to them except perhaps a ban from AirBNB. Big deal, they’ll just move on to another relative to use the service.

I love good news in the morning! Of course the death toll could have been higher but you can’t have everything. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
