CNN)Once again, the shifting winds of the Covid-19 pandemic have placed the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in a pickle. Last month, in the (very brief) good old days after the original Omicron variant had settled, the agency had indicated that, on April 18, it would reevaluate the mask-wearing mandate on airplanes, trains and other "transportation conveyances."

I believe the government is just holding on to this mandate hoping there will be another variant outbreak that will allow them to lock down the country again just in time to require mail in ballots, ballot harvesting and 24 hr unattended drop boxes for the 2022 elections.

Early everyone who got covid, delta, omicron etc were wearing masks at the time they caught it because of state mandates- so,what good are masks?
Kent, if you think a mask will keep you safe, by all means wear one. The rest of us would prefer that you mind your own business.
If this “opinion” is from CNN, I don’t trust it.
I think the reason is that I never did get the vaccinations, never social distanced and never wore the stupid "bondage slave" masks unless under threat of arrest.
As George Carlin used to say, your immune system needs germs to practice on.
If airflight is that dangerous, I think I’ll drive.
They are good for PsyOp compliance and dehumanizing.
—I have never gotten this “dread” disease called COVID.—
You may very well have gotten the virus but have been asymptomatic. My wife and I both had it in March 2020. It is very much like the flu. No “vaccinations” for us.
We didn’t social distance, wear masks, or get a shot. We did get Covid, but expected that we would. We almost hoped we would, as immunity is a good thing.
I followed the same protocols that you did. I had covid early on, I felt like crap for a few days and recovered just fine after feeling tired for about a week. For the most part, it just felt like a bad cold.
BUMP!
You and I could be twins.
“your immune system needs germs to practice on.”
Nailed it. I believe that I got all 3 major variants, Alpha, Delta & Omicron. Common symptoms in each case, but diminishing seriousness with each variant. However, Omicron was very different: It stuck with me for a week, with persistent symptoms of tinnitus for over 8 weeks (I never missed a day of work; I’d mistaken it for a mere cold and - key point - there was no ‘outbreak’ at work either).
We’re all different, obviously. In my own case, I’m still on a health recovery reversing decades of stealth decline, but the fact is that I overcame Alpha in a mere 72 hours without the aid of ANY now well known therapies.
Regardless all the speculation - and criticism thereof - there is an apparent ulterior motive to compelling ineffective shots for a virus with a similar mortality rate of influenza, and we may well begin to see the effects among the jabbed - vs. those of us with natural immunity - within the year.
CNN should wear masks on set, as you never know about those tricky virii who could digitize themselves and infect the viewers with something beside the standard CNN propaganda.
Onions placed in the sole of one’s shoes are a more efficient deterrent against the Wuhan Virus than are masks. SMH...
I ain't flying anywhere ever again for the duration. I have seen enough of how these airlines and those Witch Stewardesses treat the passengers. The nonsense about what sort of shirt you can wear during a flight was the last straw.
Heck, between driving to the airport, parking, security checks, outrageously priced beverages and garbage fast foods, it is just not worth it. Did I mention the delays that are not at all unusual? God forbid that you have a connection to make and you only allowed yourself 2 hours.
As for transoceanic travel, I will take the Colum Bus or stay home. Nothing over there anywhere is in my interest.
I havent been on a plane since 2003. I got out just as the TSA was getting its wind. I count it as blessing.
You couldnt shove me into an airtight locked tube with 200 strangers. Its just not happening.
While I have no problem with the idea of taking a vacation and seeing exotic places, the fact remains that air travel has become the opium of childless careerists and social media/selfie junkies.
There’s a direct correlation between the increase in the amount of people who take weekend trips to the Caribbean, and the decrease in the amount of families who sit down and eat dinner together at home. Our modern, self centered, instant gratification culture puts a much higher value on travel than previous generations did.
So it makes sense that the Globalist Nazis would turn air travel into a hi tech Turkish prison, and demand dehumanizing obedience.
