What was the pitch meeting like for CNN+? “Hey, I know we’re the lowest rated cable news channel, but maybe people will pay for what they aren’t interested in for free?” Something that dumb and crazy had to have been said, heard and determined to be a good idea at the Atlanta headquarters of the oldest cable “news” network because, according to reports, fully $1 billion was allocated to make CNN+ – their new streaming service – a reality. They would’ve been better off setting that money on fire.
The announcement of CNN+ was treated as an event, the media loves nothing more than stories about itself. The only thing missing was any interest from the public. So-called “big names” were recruited to populate the streaming service from competitors. Kasie Hunt left NBC News, and Chris Wallace left Fox News for streaming glory.
Then the service launched.
I don’t know who thought anyone on the planet wanted more Brian Stelter, let alone thought people would pay for it, but the launch has been a disaster. No one cares. There isn’t a cable system in the country that doesn’t offer CNN and it regularly can’t pull in 1 million viewers in prime time when it’s free. Five dollars per month isn’t a lot of money, but who would pay for home delivery of a meal from a restaurant you absolutely hate? No one.

I don’t like FOX anymore either, personally. Election night 2020 was my last viewing. But yeah, CNN is ground zero for BS.
Same here. I stopped watching fox the night of the election, I turned it over to Newsmax. For a few months I watched Newsmax, then moved on to OANN. One America News Network is the one I stayed with.
I’d say this’ll go down as one of the worst TV programming disasters in history...but we know who writes history, so...
I got rid of cable altogether. Not giving one cent to any of them (or Disney or any other Hollywood studios or leftist sports leagues).
Now I can give an extra hundred or so per month to good causes.
Have not watch a single day since. Not a single day. And I was a loyal, daily watcher since the 90s. I watched Special Report 5 nights a week -- it was my go-to news show. No more.

CNN believed the lie that bidet got 81 million votes and thought these voters would love to pay for CNN programming.
Pretty pathetic. Phil Godlewski a truth seeker had 5 million the other night for his podcast with the Dr Ardis interview about what covid really is. Stew Peters had 2 million. The alternative media is fast eclipsing the MSM and will soon be who everyone is watching.
It appears that even the most passionate leftists who watch CNN don’t think it’s worth paying for.
He deserves any crap that comes his way.

Fox conspired with the other outlets in 2000 to saddle us with the red color forever. We had generally been blue on the map up until then.
They called Florida for Gore way too early and incited all kinds of trouble.
They called Arizona for Biden on purpose.
They are our enemies, just like CNN.
