Russia 'moves heavy military equipment towards Finnish border'

Russian heavy weapons including missile systems have been seen moving towards the border with Finland, hours after Russia warned its northern neighbour against joining NATO.

An unconfirmed video uploaded last night appears to show two Russian coastal defence missile systems moving along a road on the Russian side of the border that leads to Helsinki.

The missile systems are thought to be the K-300P Bastion-P mobile coastal defence system, designed to take out surface ships up to and including aircraft carrier battle groups.

The Russian deployment comes as Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin said she expects her government 'will end the discussion before midsummer' on whether to apply for NATO membership.

Recent opinions polls by a Finnish market research company put 84% of Finns as viewing Russia as a 'significant military threat', up by 25% on last year.

In response, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov euphemistically warned the move would 'not improve' the security situation in Europe, and Moscow lawmaker Vladimir Dzhabarov added more bluntly it would mean 'the destruction of the country'.

'We have repeatedly said that the alliance remains a tool geared towards confrontation and its further expansion will not bring stability to the European continent,' Peskov said.

I bet a psychologist would say that Putard are self-loathing repressed homosexuals who hate anything that is tolerant of homosexuality. You see the “homo” references quite frequently in their criticism of Ukraine/Zelensky. So naturally they side with the Rashists/Putin who frowns on homosexuality but in their subconscience they want to be Putins catcher.

“It isn’t just Putin....it’s Russia. He’s supported by 80 percent of the populous.”

For an invasion of Finland?

You’re full of ——.

Joining NATO does not require arming to the teeth.

Estonia and Latvia are members of NATO and do not have heavy weapons.

If Putin attacks Finland he’s going to find out Europe won’t roll over like they did for the Ukraine.

I’m glad they didn’t engage over the Ukraine, but at some point Russia is not
going to continue this aggression without full on war.

“Russia is already boarded by 3 NATO countries: Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. The Russian narrative that this is all about an expanding NATO is a lie. They have used it as an excuse to go to war, but I don’t believe it is grounded in any truth”

It’s about money and resources and strategic locations. It’s not about NATO.

“You are so profoundly incorrect on this one, there’s no remedy.”

Feel free to share what you believe are the top three threats that Mexico faces from the USA.

It was the Putards who said Russia wasnt going to invade Ukraine....

One week before the Russian invasion, Zelensky and his Defense Ministry publicly scolded Biden and the US for hyping that Russia was going to invade. I wonder why he did that?

Russia can and will incinerate Finland with H-bimbos. What’s your plan after that?

Primarily to their drug trade. The point was, Mexico is a VERY strong ally of China. I wasn’t addressing our threat to them, specifically. THEY are a huge threat to us.

““In the end, you shall lose everything you hold of value in this world, your wealth, your possessions, your freedoms, your friends, your family, your youth, even your life itself. But before you surrender them, make those who try to take them from you pay an extreme price for every little scrap they grasp for.” – Source not known.”

No; if you are killed defending them you have not surrendered them. Surrender is quitting, giving up.

You cannot be defeated by being killed in the defense of those you hold dear; you can only be defeated by surrendering, which takes a conscious decision to give up.

I like that sentiment, a lot. I wish there were more freedom-caring conservatives that actually had that kind of thinking out there.

An all-out war with the USA will not collapse Russia.

We live on a mountain of debt, entertainment, self-indulgence and divisive and destructive woke politics.

I’m afraid an all-out war will collapse US.

Yeah these Putards have become surrender monkeys...They would rather see Ukrainians live on their knees rather than die on their feet. Ukeys are more “American” than these so-called “conservatives” We know what they would do if Russia invaded the USA...they pretty much admit they would drop to their knees.

How did Finland “poke the bear” in 1939?

From Russia’s point of view, Finland poked the bear by its very existence as an independent nation. At the end of WWI Finland, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, and Eastern Poland all became independent nations out of territory once part of Russia. The Soviets tried to take back Poland in the early 20s but were beaten. They tried the same with the Finns and were beaten the first time. The second Soviet invasion forced the Finns to give up territory. Stalin and Hitler signed an agreement giving the Baltic Republics and eastern Poland back to the USSR.

And that’s how things stood until the breakup of the USSR. The Baltics declared independence, but Poland never got its lost territory back, neither did Finland.

Other nations that have the bad fortune to border Russia/USSR have also found them to be a less than great neighbor.

Last night there was a program on about the history of Putin and the Ukraine war.

Russia released a video of Putin’s cabinet when they voted to invade the Ukraine. The cabinet was seated in a simi-circle facing Putin about 30’ away. Apparently none of them wanted to invade but were highly intimidated to vote yes. The most telling was the head of intelligence who would not say yes but danced around it. Putin kept poking him until he said yes. They all looked literally afraid for their lives. Putin looked very Stalin-ish.

Some of those cabinet ministers have now been arrested.

People who go on and on with that particular topic usually are ‘complaining too much’.
