Jared Kushner secured a $2 billion investment in his private equity firm from Saudi Arabia's state-owned sovereign wealth fund just six months after the end of the Trump administration, a new report claimed on Sunday.
Kushner, Donald Trump's son-in-law and former White House senior adviser, secured the massive deal despite being flagged for its 'inexperience' and 'public relations risks' by a panel of economics experts who screen the wealth fund's investments, the New York Times reports.
During his time in the White House, Kushner was known for his close personal relationship with Saudi Arabia's de facto leader Mohammed bin-Salman and for helping him secure a $110 billion arms deal. He was among the Saudi royal family's staunchest defenders within the administration amid international outrage over its murder of US-based journalist and MBS critic Jamal Khashoggi.

What did his father get into trouble for?
OBVIOUSLY it's "Russian disinformation!"
(\sarc ;>)
Is there a law against family doing business after leaving office?
Nope.
Kushner was a big dealing millionaire worth $700 million before he came to the White House.
He merely went back to his normal business.
The Saudis regularly do big business deals with American businesses men, especially ones they trust like Kushner.
^^
The rich are different from you and I. Money knows no borders or ethnic barriers.
Well, no. Beneficiaries of government largess traditionally reward politicians and bureaucrats after they leave office.
Consider all the generals and admirals who get jobs with defense contractors after retiring from the Pentagon.
All the politicians who get seats on corporate boards of directors, or partnerships in lobbyists' law firms, after retiring from politics.
This is also why globalists hate populists and nationalists. The latter groups are always hindering the globalists' business dealings.

My Father was a bootlegger and a killer.
I don’t drink, and I have never killed anyone..
Except.... Jared filed all the correct paperwork.
What won’t be?
How much investment experience did Chelsea Hubble’s husband have?
Sure sounds like they’re trying to make it one.
They may have nothing on him, but if it looks like too similar a payoff to the pol’s next generation they could muddy the waters as far as appearances go, even without directly incriminating info.
Israeli and Saudi leaders have long had very close, though discreet, ties—financial and otherwise.
What EVIDENCE of any kind is there to demonstrate Kushner had done anything immoral or illegal. If none, shut up.
Kushner is obviously a very bright and tallented guy. Slimy? Liberal? Those are just personal attacks and slanted opinions. He’s a Harvard Grad and a Lawyer. He has run a multi-billion dollar real estate investment firm, played a significant role in getting Trump elected (as digital strategy developer), was a senior White House Advisor, and the Lead Negotiator in the historic Abraham Accords. He also broker a $100B arms sale to Saudi Arabia. He obviously has extensive contacts in KSA at the highest levels. I suspect when the King personally vouches for you in KSA, that goes a long way, but in this case the House of Saud knows Kushner on a personal level.
According to Wikipedia: “In 2005, he [Charles Kushner, Jared’s father] was convicted of illegal campaign contributions, tax evasion, and witness tampering and was sentenced to two years imprisonment, which he served in the Federal Prison Camp, Montgomery. As a convicted felon he was also disbarred in three states. He later received a federal pardon issued by President Donald Trump on December 23, 2020.”
Incidentally, their family name isn’t Kushner but Berkowitz. Jared’s paternal grandfather changed it.
