Russia Says Ukraine War Meant to End U.S. Quest for World 'Domination'

On Monday, Russia's foreign minister put a new spin on his country's reasoning for invading Ukraine by claiming the "special military action" is meant to put an end to the United States' quest for "world domination" and the expansion of NATO.

Speaking to the Russian state-owned television news channel Rossiya 24, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov accused the U.S. and other Western nations of violating international law and attempting to impose a "rules-based" global order.

"Our special military operation is meant to put an end to the unabashed expansion [of NATO] and the unabashed drive towards full domination by the U.S. and its Western subjects on the world stage," Lavrov told Rossiya 24, according to a translation from Russian state-run media outlet RT.

"This domination is built on gross violations of international law and under some rules, which they are now hyping so much and which they make up on a case-by-case basis," Lavrov added.

Russia has repeatedly attempted to justify its invasion of Ukraine, and has refused to call its military actions a war. When Russian President Vladimir Putin first ordered troops to attack Ukraine on February 24, he said he said he was seeking the "denazification" of Ukraine. Putin has baselessly claimed that the administration of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky—a democratically elected Jewish leader—is overrun by "Nazis" who have promoted "genocide."

Last month, Lavrov also defended the war by saying that Russia is working to prevent a separate conflict in Ukraine.

"The goal of Russia's special military operation is to stop any war that could take place on Ukrainian territory or that could start from there," Lavrov said, according to a tweet posted by the Russian embassy in London.

Maybe Putin can remind us of the last time the U. S. annexed
land we have conquered.

Better yet, perhaps he can remind us of the last time the
U.S. invaded it’s neighbors and created a new state out of
it.

Look, the United States is not perfect. We can look back
and find examples of things we probably shouldn’t have done,
but generally the United States goes in, tries to stabilize
a nation, and then lets the locals run their own nation.

Do we stand behind what took place in the Ukraine in 2014?
I’m not sold on that. I know a lot of others aren’t either.

I do think there’s some basis for thinking the deep state
was involved in that. With Obama at the helm, who was
surprised that something like that happened? He was a
cluster —— for eight years, trashing our allies and
kissing up to Arab terrorist organizations. Would he buy
in on a deep state adventure? Ah, yes.

So yeah, it can sound like a really astute observation that
the U. S. is trying to rule the world, if you can’t dig
deeper into what is actually taking place.

In general terms, there are seven ideologies pushing back
against the United States these days.

1. China
2. Russia
3. the Globalist Networks (third way, U. N., Leftists)
4. the European Nations that think they should lead
5. the global entities that have the same views as 4
6. the brainless lap dogs of these various entities
7. the well meaning people of the U.S. who get tripped up
ideologically, with some basis of truth behind them, but
overall still quite off track on one issue or another.

There are overlaps here, and we could quibble about the
definitions, but this will suffice.

Every single one of these entities has now bought off on the
idea that the U.S. is the bad guy on the planet right now.

Folks, I want you to steer clear of these groups, each and
every one of them. You have no idea how destructive they
are.

Yes, we all realize there are some severe problems with the
leadership of the U.S. right now. We all want to see that
changed, and it must be goal number one. The question is,
how do we address this?

Do we side with other entities that despise the U.S.? Some
folks have chosen to answer that with yes. No is the
correct answer.

When Putin says he wants to stop the U.S. from dominating
the world, what is he actually advancing?

He is trying to clear the way for one or more of those
entities above to replace the U.S. as the global leader.

Do we want Russia, China, or both to lead? (1, 2, both)

Do we want the entities under group 3 to dominate?

Would the European nations be a great collective driver? (4)

Would we want to see the Arab states dominate? Should
there be an Asian entity to dominate? I don’t think
there is a better option to the United States from
group four there. (5)

Should we want all the entities that have materialized
under the globalist banner (6) to form some form of
leadership / dominance?

Should we want groups seven to dominate? Before you say yes,
please note that group seven does not stand alone. It is
joined by other groups listed. There isn’t a singular
group that is the only one to think our nation needs to
be changed for the better. That leaves group seven a muddy
area, where the objective remains somewhat focused, but with
a clearly different outcome preferred by different belief
systems swirling within it.

I submit that it is not a great idea, to side with someone
who is sympathetic to ending U.S. domination on planet Earth.
Why? Well who will take up that role if not us?

Thank about that. What figurehead do you see out there
right now that would do a better job than the U.S., even if
we do see the current leadership as disastrous?

Please don’t ask me to destroy our nation, to see what
will rise after it. We rightly so trashed Nancy Pelosi for
this brilliant (/s) idiocy. How about we take a pass on
dong the same thing.

We have no idea what would come after U.S. global
domination ends. If you think China might be a great
option, please look at how they treat their own people.
And please try to understand that they are holding back,
due to wanting to be seen in a positive light globally,
as they scheme to become the world’s only hegemonic power.

We all agree that our nation needs to be righted.

We see states like California and others that have simply
jumped of the deep end into a gray shaded semi-anarchistic
state of being.

We need to develop a plan that is workable. It must address
lost areas like California. It must address the network that
pushes total chaos to replace everything that is real. We
need to replace every diseased thinker in the White House,
House of
Reps, and Senate. We need to tighten up our SCOTUS justice
selection system. This must be a unified effort, that has a
comprehensive unifying fix for every problem.

There is no other entity out there that is big enough, has
the power strong enough, or the core legitimacy of beliefs
that can repair what has been broken.

We have to centralize around a core that can be righted and
be built upon.

Please don’t buy into tossing our nation overboard. It’s
the only lifeboat we have. You must grasp that.

That’s what you Pootypootpuffers call helping us out on “international rules” and violations of laws? A puff piece on calling Vlad the new Bismarck. You guys have seriously gone off the rails.

In the 1983 movie “Never Say Never Again” 007 played a Russian villain played for world domination in a game in which the loser would be electrocuted by the joysticks.

Russia has no interest in western Ukraine. They only head over there to take out incoming hardware, like the stuff from Slovakia yesterday. Oops. Go Boom.

I read it a few months ago but can’t find it currently. The strategy was outlined by an analyst for one of the US defense think tanks.

Of course Brandon is doing the exact opposite.

Russia has no interest in western Ukraine.
***Typo. I meant eastern Ukraine.

They only head over there to take out incoming hardware, like the stuff from Slovakia yesterday. Oops. Go Boom.
***Got anything to add besides correcting typos? HOw about simply defending your position?

Imagine an independent Texas. On these boards, its not so hard to do.

No imagine, after years of courting, problems with the USA proper, Texas signs a security agreement with Mexico and China, with Chinese troops in bases within their borders. sound far-fetched? At the end of WWII, did any American think we should have an alliance with troops on the Ukraine/Russia border?

Maybe you will begin to understand - you can’t demand security for yourself, without also giving it to others.

Take both of them out of the equation. One country invaded the other. Start with that.
