Mayor Adams on Sunday went into isolation and canceled public events for the week after testing positive for COVID and showing a light symptom of the dreaded virus, his office announced.
“This morning, Mayor Adams woke up with a raspy voice and, out of an abundance of caution, took a PCR test that has now come back positive,” the mayor’s press secretary Fabien Levy said in a statement.

The latest mutation is getting everyone.
I had Covid 1.0 in March of 2020, tested positive for the antibodies later.
I had whatever the latest version is back in the 2nd week of March this year, 2 years later. Thankfully nowhere near as bad as v. 1.0 was in March of 2020 when it knocked me down hard for 9 days.
I look at it this way: the latest variant was hard for me to distinguish from a cold or honestly, the seasonal allergies I have. I had a mild to moderate fever for four days, was still functional and as long as I stayed hydrated, I was fine.
Suck it up, America. Stop being a punch of panzies.
