If you were a Williamson Country, Tennessee, kindergartner and clicked on the book “The GayBCs” on the iPad given by your school for you to take home over the weekend, you would.

You’d also know the B is for Bi. (You can shout it out loud/ “I like boys and girls/ and that makes me proud.”)

C is—needless to say—for Coming Out and D is—what else—for Drag.

I won’t bother you with the noxious doggerel accompanying those—you can probably make it up for yourself. And no, it’s not a product of Disney, although, given recent developments, it almost seems as if it were. It was published in 2019 by Quirk Books with a recommended age range of 4 to 8.

According to GeekDad, this is “A great way to introduce 26 words to kids while teaching them to read.”

Teaching them to read? Do you teach the average 5-year-old reading with the word “nonbinary” (not to mention “I is for Intersex”)? Well, maybe if your kid is John Stuart Mill who is said to have learned Greek at age 3.

Actually, GeekDad inadvertently let the cat out of the bag. “The GayBCs” are educationally meaningless, in fact, an educational fraud. Hardly any children at that age are prepared to learn to read from them, with or without the traditional parental accompaniment.

It would most likely do the reverse, make the child so overwhelmed and baffled by what would have to be incomprehensible concepts for them, he or she (apologies for the old-fashioned pronouns) could be turned off reading altogether. It certainly wouldn’t help.

Even Mill undoubtedly wouldn’t have had the maturity to deal with bisexuality at the age of 4...

Very often, when companies go woke, it turns out that the wokeness is a cover for changing market forces. That is, they’re not alienating traditional demographics; they’re reflecting that their money is coming from new demographics. When it comes to Hollywood and the NBA, for example, the big bucks are coming from China, not America. When it comes to Disney, the main profit center isn’t children; it’s young adults who, Peter Pan–like, refuse to grow up.

The brilliant Daniel Greenfield makes this point in an article entitled “Disney’s Business Model is Turning Kids into Dysfunctional Adults: Its customer base isn’t kids. It’s messed up adults.” Greenfield, as always, has done the research, and, in the case of Disney, he points to the fact that Disney’s most fanatic consumers are in the over 18 demographic:

Disney isn’t for kids anymore. Its movie business is dominated by Marvel blockbusters. Half of Disney+ subscribers, its big bet on the home streaming future, are adults with no children.

What about the theme parks?

60% of Disneyland visitors were adults with no children. Only 36.7% of Disney World visitors had children under 18.

The largest demographic for the theme parks, like the movies, are millennials. They are also members of the fandoms who are likeliest to spend money on licensed merchandise, and on toys and movie tie-ins that are Disney’s bread and butter.

And Disney is rapidly adapting with theme parks and resorts that emphasize its Marvel and Star Wars properties more than classic fare. Its Galactic Starcruiser hotel, aimed at Star Wars fans, costs $4,809 for two adults. Why bother with kid stuff when you can sell $13 beers?

When I worked in an art related business all the people working there, in their late teens to 20s, prided themselves on being into cartoons, animation and the like. I found it kind of sickening, thinking how no of them were ‘grown up.

Halloween everyone came to work in all sorts of costumes from the movies. Behaved as if they WERE the character, Star Wars, Marvel comic figures, stuff like that. sickening.Almost all of them were single with no kids.

It occurred to me, after watching Secrets of Playboy, and finding out Hugh Hefner drank a lot of Pepsi’s per day and some kind of candy, overindulged himself with women. Seemed really like an adult Peter Pan to me.

NJ Republican Governor says kids will learn about gender Identity in sex ed class for 6 year olds. A 30-minute lesson called “Pink, Blue and Purple” aims to teach the 6-year-olds to define “gender, gender identity and gender role stereotypes.

This article and other recent realities of the Disney Worlds. Has resulted in my wife and I discussing some forever Disney people, we know in their 60’s. Also, their supposedly Adult children who fit these models discussed in the articles and by people like you. None of which are married.

Those older married Disney/parents are different than our other friends.

One 60 something couple still goes down to Disneyland or flies to Disney World every year. Their forty something daughter is an open gay lesbian involved in producing and setting up current musicians for gigs and shows..

Their younger 40 something, son seems to be semi normal, and he has moved to a very conservative part of Oregon. Butte county in California was not conservative enough for him. They seldom hear from him.

Another couple, where the wife, who was hooked on Disneyland
died a couple of years ago from cancer. She and the couple I mention above were very close. She often went to the Disney places with that couple and her daughter. Her daughter like her mother seems to be role playing marriage. Their son is very conservative, and he has nothing to do his sister. Her Dad/former husband is also very conservative.

Our sons in their middle 50’s and their conservative friends have been warning us about the upcoming Disney terrorists from their ages down.

When our sons were in the 4th and 6th grades, we went down south on the spring break. We stayed at a non Disney hotel in S. Cali.. After one day in the Disney park, they and their mother/my wife said that they didn’t want to go back to Disneyland. So we did tourist things down in that area. The 3 of them said Disney Land was creepy. That was 40 years ago.

As adults, they have pointed out that most of the Disney Bots as they call them, are worthless in the real world.
