If you look at MAGA, circa 2016, it has been rejected by most 2022 FReepers. I think the main reason for the change is the fact that the government/media conglomerate narrative is unquestioningly lapped up around here.

The point of nuclear deterrence isn’t to win with nukes. It’s to allow China to attack our allies while limiting our response.
But do I believe dictators like Xi and Putin would burn us to the ground if they could get away with it? Absolutely.
And is it possible in the future?
Of course, if we get more Obamas who eliminate missile defenses and degrade our own nuclear forces, the day will come.
We ultimately face all these threats at home and the Isolationists seem to lack a grasp of history to realize that can happen.

It’s not a given that Biden will do nothing. And I pray China doesn’t think that. Because there is a good chance Biden will have to do something.
The Pacific allies are a LOT more serious about Taiwan, than Europe is about Ukraine.
But yeah, certainly the plan was to exploit Biden in Europe and Asia.
Biden being so careful not to engage Russian forces, and the fear of Russian nukes - could cause China to conclude that we will have a limited reaction.
The nuke build up is to make sure we don’t sink the Chinese navy.
Should we sink it if they attack? 100%
But that should never have to happen.

Democrats are idiots. They don’t see the world realistically and they don’t realize that when your enemy says “will you stop me if I attack” - one way or another, you make sure they receive an unmistakable “yes”.
The Democrat response is “War is unacceptable this is 2022! Of course we don’t want a war with you, and if you do attack we hope it’s a “limited incursion etc. And please whatever you do we still want to work with you on climate change.”

Trump had it right he had many other sane way to get things under control knowing a mans fear gives you the edge.
