Two Alabama men are accused of inciting or encouraging a riot after authorities said messages were spread online encouraging the spring break “takeover” of a Florida beach town, authorities said.
More than 160 people were arrested, about 75 illegal guns were confiscated and several businesses closed during a wild weekend late last month in Panama City Beach, police said.
Social media influencers and others promoted “Panamaniac” on Facebook and other social media platforms, authorities said.
Demarion Ty’Quan Cooper, 20 and Rashad Boyce Glasper, 25, were arrested Thursday at their homes in the Alabama cities of Troy and Wetumpka, police said.

Already released on “no cash bail” b/c there are too many black men in jail.
All charges dropped by the local Soros-funded DA.
And just like that more racists were created over a weekend than the KKK of yesteryear could turn in a year!! Might not say it openly, but rest assured, they were created!!
Let me guess, obama sons?
We were in Panama City Beach all last week. Not bad at the beach, but going over to Pier Park... totally different story. It was a madhouse. My two boys who would usually jump at the shot of running around in a place like that, wanted to leave about 10 minutes after we got there. Very bad vibe. Just some very menacing characters.
an interstate crime - who has jurisdiction?
Alabama, Florida or the FBI????

Would you mind providing the source for this info please?
What with their rigorous college classes this semester, these aspiring scholars probably needed a spring break, and so they went down to Florida to relax and work on their tans.
Who wants to bet me that neither one is of Norwegian ancestry???
Such colorful names...
Reminds me of the old “ZIP TO ZAP” from days gone by in 1969.
Was there diversity?
Do I REALLY need to look?
Walton and Okaloosa County Sheriff’s deputies get ahead of “takeover parties”
DESTIN, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Reckless crowds tore through Panama City Beach last weekend, leading to gunshots and handcuffs. It seems the chaos from the east could be heading west as Destin takeover party invitations are starting to circle social media.
On Monday, Walton and Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Offices held a joint press conference at Pompano Joes in Destin to talk about spring break events, focusing on upcoming takeover parties.
Crab Island parties are being promoted for April 9 and April 22-24th.
“These takeover events. They’re not taking anything over. It’s not going to happen. We have plenty of occupancy at the Walton County Jail and we will do what’s necessary to make sure that happens,” Walton County Sheriff Michael Adkinson said.
Sheriff’s deputies are working together to keep things in control.
“We’re reaching out to both the rental companies and the homeowners that are advertising these types of takeover events. That is not what Walton County is about. That’s not what Okaloosa County is about,” Adkinson said.
Adkinson said it’s better to put a stop to things now before deputies have to step in.
“Now we want people to come and to enjoy themselves but this is our home and these are adults and we expect you to act like that and if you can’t do that, we’ll do it for you,” Adkinson said.
Deputies said they won’t hesitate to arrest anyone who causes trouble.
Probably all three can get a charge or two to stick, but that’s just a guess.
They’re being called “influencers,” in some stories.
