Nice work here by Meduza to corroborate the satellite imagery published by the New York Times a few days ago. Russia claims that the now-famous scene of corpses lying out in the open on Yablonska Street in Bucha is Ukraine’s handiwork, a false-flag murder spree by Ukrainian forces after the Russians withdrew on March 30.
Not so. Many of those bodies were there and visible from the sky before March 30. The Times used satellite footage but Meduza got hold of drone footage from late March.

Now that Bucha’s survivors are free to speak to reporters, stories are emerging that explain why so many bodies were found on Yablonska Street. According to witnesses interviewed by the Wall Street Journal, the Russians were relatively well behaved during the first week the town was occupied, early in the war. Which makes sense: The Russian army believed Ukraine would be a cakewalk and that they’d soon be part of a permanent occupation force. Why alienate the locals unnecessarily by treating them harshly when the war would be over within days?
But then more units entered the town as it began to dawn on the Russians that they were in for a fight. “The atmosphere darkened,” the locals told the WSJ. Snipers were positioned around town and residents were given a 4 p.m. curfew. The Russians reportedly became spooked that the locals were spying on them and conveying their positions to Ukrainian troops. Yablonska Street in particular was soon treated as a no-go zone since it connected Bucha to Irpin, where battles were raging. One man who lives in Bucha said the soldiers told him they had orders to shoot anyone who so much as stepped foot on that street.

All of this slaughter is from the 46 Brigade, not actually part of the Russian army, but a police-like unit tasked with eliminating “undesirables” and “cleaning of the local population”. It was created to “clean up the population” in Chechnya. It is responsible for Bucha and other horrors.
It is stretched from the north of Kiev to the Sea of Azov area with 15,000 troops. Pieces of the 46th are located in different areas. Parts of it are called the Battalion South, Battalion North, 141st Regiment.
Russia will claim those were Ukrainian soldiers in Russian uniforms killing their own people in order to blame Russia.
I’m no fan of the Ukrainian government. They’re a smaller but no less hyper corrupt oligarchy.
But the Russians are frigging barbarians.
I hope the Ukrainians slaughter every last one of them.

An officer told Mother Superior “These are good boys, but the ones following us.. “ he spit on the floor “They are pigs”.
A few days later Russian troops were raping the pregnant women and nuns.
Hundreds of bodies, but it took 3 DAYS before they bothered anyone in that city (after the Russians left). Maybe the didn’t smell yet?

One admitting to meeting Zelensky, one is Polish, and the handful of other personal attackers likely have some connection to that part of the world too, but are smart enough to not disclose it.
I sure do have issues. I despise bullies. The Russians invaded Ukraine, not the other way around, Scooter. If the reverse were true I’d feel the same way about the Ukrainians.
The only way to deal with a bully is to smash his face in. Accordingly I hope the Ukrainians smash some faces. Lots and lots of them.

I admire your bravado but it is only words... Sign up to help Ukraine, you can go there and actually help fight the Russians... Yeah, I thought so. I’m disappointed you posted that, not up to your usual standard.

So in case you missed it, and you so very obviously missed it, I clearly stated that the Ukrainian government is just as corrupt as the Russian government. So go back and read what I wrote. Feel free to move your lips as you do it. I hear that helps.

If you hate bullies that much, I’m surprised you weren’t equally outraged when the Ukrainian govt. sent the Azov Battalion to the area around the Donbas to harass, beat, and shell the ppl living there 24/7. Approximately 14,000 ppl were killed in 8 years, mainly Russian civilians, by the Ukrainian military. Your outrage is apparently selective.

Are you talking about the 46th Separate Special Operations Brigade? They are part of the Russian Guards. They have been very active in Donbas region for a few years. I know that the 141st Regiment is Chechen.
He's right. The Russians are barbarians. The civilized world have ceased relations with them for a reason.
