A Texas florist’s right to possess firearms was restored by a judge Thursday, weeks after she was sentenced to two months probation and a $5,000 fine for her role in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.
U.S. District Court Judge Trevor McFadden granted Jenny Cudd’s request to rescind a term of her probation that banned her from owning of possessing any “firearm, ammunition, destructive device or dangerous weapon.”
In his Thursday ruling, McFadden acknowledged Cudd wore a "bulletproof sweatshirt" to the Jan. 6 protest, but he accepted her explanation that she wore it out of fear that she would encounter violence, not because she was provoking it.

Politico reports that Judge McFadden has candidly questioned federal prosecutors’ priorities, suggesting that they are treating the Jan. 6 defendants more aggressively than they did people accused of violence during the racial justice protests of 2020.
Good, and I don’t even know the details.
That January 6th thing is about as big a cluster —— as I have
seen our inJustice Department execute.
Hundreds if not thousands of Citizens lives have been thrown
upside down for attending a protest on the steps of the
Capital Building, and then going inside when simply allowed
to.
Not everyone entering that building did so illegally. The
inJustice Department is acting as if they did.
Whoever is running that operation should be cashiered with
no benefits.
And meanwhile, tens of thousands of people who rioted, burned
cities, destroyed businesses, looted...
They don’t have to look over their shoulders at all.
FREE PASS
That!
Some are more
Equal than others.
Thanks.
That’s for sure.
Jan 6th hysteria aside, two months served or probation is generally a misdemeanor. Unless a domestic violence misdemeanor, this should not involve having firearms rights revoked. The judge did right.
The judge needs to Get the
DS players that Set up All These PATRIOTS!
I probably have over 50 sweatshirts.
NEVER heard of a “BULLETPROOF” one.
Open up 2 windows.
In one, search for "Jan 6 Capitol Damage".
I the other one, search for "2020 riot damage".
Just compare the difference.
DC Players, or am I missing it?
I agree with DC all the way.
DC,Works although I meant

They are listening.
Oooh...
Thanks.
We call them so many things that doesn’t come to mind as readily for me.
Judge McFadden appears to be the only judge that is ruling on the facts an not on his political bias like the rest of them. We all know that these prosecustions are purely political, not deserving of the way the defendants have been treated and incarcerated without bail for so long. Those that get this judge are lucky.
U.S. District Court Judge Trevor McFadden. Trying to do a good job. Thanl you Trevor. Your Father would be proud.
I probably should.
Agree.
