Beverly Hills’ only gun shop, Beverly Hills Guns, received an order on April 7 advising the shop that it has 60 days to close.
Store owner Russell Stuart told Breitbart News the order came from property management. He recounted that his secretary received an envelope and walked to Stuart with sorrow in her eyes.
Stuart opened the envelope and read the order.
Beverly Hills Guns has been in existence for two years, at the same address, with zero issues. Stuart explained that the order to shutter the current store means he will have to find a new location, sign a lease, and only after signing a lease, get a new license from the ATF, approval from the California DOJ, and approval from the city of Beverly Hills. The cost in time, moving, and loss in sales could be astronomical.
Stuart told Breitbart News, “Beverly Hills Guns has been one of the most popular retail stores in the city and I’ve been incredibly proud of the work that we’ve been able to do to bring the Second Amendment to the city of Beverly Hills and to its residents, who have been experiencing one of the worst crime waves in the city’s history… As the 204th ranked safest city in California behind Long Beach and Inglewood, I am sad to see that the owners of my office do not feel the need to have a store like mine in their building during this crucial and dangerous time for our residents.”

Hilarious
A city of victims
Field day for the Orks
Perhaps the building was sold and/or the owners have other plans that don’t include a retail gun shop.
cuz they have eradicated crime?
how is it an order when it’s from the PM? sounds like they’re being non renewed. He needs a good broker (and RE atty)
“Property Management??” Who the heck are these people? How can this be legal?
Perhaps this shop’s owner should put signs on their windows explaining this situation and the rich Hollyweird types desperate for self defense products can gather their sources and help keep this shop operational.
Ping for Mr. Weingarten.
If their business is solid, they should move entirely online (and move their address of domicile to Texas).
It is even raked lower than Inglewood for safety? INGLEWOOD? It’s a f**king war zone.
Yes. It’s crime free now so no need. Halleluiah
Oh that glamorous Californian lifestyle.

While the elite flock to Beverly Hill’s only gun shop looking for guns for self-defense, poor California minorities are finding it difficult to get through the state’s many gun control laws and acquire a firearm to use to keep themselves and their families safe.

So keep the shop name and move nearby, even if you have to leave Beverly Hills.
Some of the leases in BH retail spaces include GTFO clauses the owners/managers can exercise at any time. This goes back at least to the 1980s (because I learned about them as a kid) and probably way further. Because BH retail is in such demand, they’ll have another tenant quickly; it allows owners to quickly boot anyone they think makes them look bad - very important in image-obsessed BH.
I’m sure you’re right but what crap language. What tenant wants to spend the kind of TI’s required only to get booted. Unless the LL pays for it initially or reimburses them the unamortized portion, I can’t imagine any tenants going for that (except novices). He probably only signed a short term lease with no options and they’re booting him over perceived liability.
“INGLEWOOD? It’s a… war zone.” Hmm. I was there recently and felt safe walking around St. John’s Church and then over to Luskin High School. Yes, I was super nervous. No, it did not feel like East Oakland, CA, nor Richmond, CA, nor Lynwood, CA. Traditional marriages bring about safe neighborhood and Inglewood has a bunch. Bad neighborhoods are caused by Hugh Hefner’s view of carnal freedom. Hefner’s neigborhood in Holmby Hills near UCLA was trashed and caused good neighbors to move out.
Their intention is to prevent non-violent citizens from having guns but to allow violent criminals to have as many as they want.
The important people have armed guards so no need for a gun shop...
I’m in my 70s, and I grew up in Westchester, just west of Inglewood. When I was growing up Inglewood was a pretty nice place; we’d go to the movies at the Fox and the Imperial. My Dad’s office was in Inglewood. But it all started to change in the mid-1960s. By the time I left California for good in 1979 Inglewood was, indeed, a war zone.
No way to tell on that one, the article doesn’t make it clear. I just thought I’d toss out another possible explanation that I know applies to retail leasing in that area.
That said, retailing the right goods in Beverly Hills *can* be extremely lucrative, is widely known to be so, and that goes towards people being willing to swallow nasty leasing terms.
The answer is to Publish the Full Names of every person involved, then beg and implore ALL GUN STORES in the State to DENY selling them anything. They need a Black List!!
