The Washington Post cited an unnamed source saying Trump has been fuming over his app flopping upon its release.Trump is now considering signing up with his former aide's conservative social media platform, per The Post.
Former President Donald Trump might be joining the conservative social media platform Gettr following the lackluster performance of his Truth Social app.
Trump has "privately fumed" about Truth Social's failure to attract a sizeable audience since its launch in February, according to The Washington Post, which cited an unnamed source familiar with the matter.
The source also told The Post that the former president is now considering joining Gettr a competitor to Truth Social that claims it is "founded on the principles of free speech."
Citing its source, the outlet reported that Trump has been holding back from posting on Truth Social because he doesn't believe that the app is "ready for prime time."
Truth Social's current head Devin Nunes, who is also a former Republican congressman, has been attempting to assuage Trump's concerns about the app by giving the latter frequent briefings, per The Post.

I’m one of several on FR that have posted true but critical material of Truth Social. I can say plainly some here on FR are simply unable to look at this objectivity and feel the need to defend it while insulting people they have never met.
Anyway, I registered on Truth Social Feb 21 after about 8 tries finally got a place on the waitlist # 312,624. Just about 7 weeks have passed still on the waitlist.
My wife was granted the access to the platform so I have looked it over some. It’s simply ok nothing bad nothing good. I love the concept but so far not all that much interesting material to read or interact with.
The main thing to know is that the CEO of Truth Social, Devin Nunes, is not being forthcoming with information and he is not answering the mainstream media as they criticize TS. There was a flurry of pieces on Fox Business yesterday but nothing of substance and I think actually harmful. I do not expect Nunes to remain CEO much longer. That is unless he pulls off a miracle and gets this thing out of it’s deep pit.
The main stream media so far hasn’t had to wholesale lie about TS, some fibbing for sure but the thing is being run so ineptly it provides the material for itself. There are numerous facebooks chocked full of Trump supporters looking for information and sharing their unhappiness with Truth Social.
Donald Trump should, in my opinion, should either abandon Truth Social or put in the full court press and get this thing running properly now as in today. It is so badly run it is an embarrassment.
I don’t do any of those social media things but it seems like the platform and rollout logistics were a bit chickens—t. Didn’t they begin with Apple only with no Android?
Something like that has to be a kick-ass bombastic endeavor, something that Trump is good at.

That's what bothered me. Social media and phones don't go together that well. Too awkward (and fraught with potential embarrassment!). Then again, Truth Social doesn't even allow you to join and post on an Android phone, just an iPhone. Stupid. Now Elon Musk is making Twitter look like a possibility again. Sadly, Truth Social blew it.
Trump should have hired the MyPillow guy to build the website. The MyPillow guy at least has a tv channel running on FrankSpeech.

I agree. Folks at Truth Social need to be fired until the right folks know what they are doing. I’m thinking Trump is being sabotaged from within. Identical to the way he was undermined as President.

Elon did the right thing. Buy and own what is already established.

It’s a shame it has been run like this at the onset.

Okay. I may not know who or what to believe anymore, but I do know that I have no reason to ever believe Business Insider about anything.
FR has no advertising and no occasional fundraisers. But you knew that.

In reality, you could be right, but I'm of the opinion that these “complaints” are misguided, and subject to the American need for Instant Gratification. An undertaking of this sort is no small feat. Twitter didn't get to where it is now overnight, correct?
They missed their goal of the major rollout at the end of March. Not the end of the world, but in our hyper-critical forum, the end of the world must now be upon us!
I understand the tasks they are facing from the ground up. Nothing that will survive for long will be rolled out quickly and effectively. Add in the semiconductor constraints and you might start getting a minuscule picture of what is taking this so long to “expand”.
Never forget that they have to navigate an Internet that is currently decidedly dead set against conservatives having a voice that can be heard in any fashion.
All the russkies have to do to prove the general’s capture is show us the pretty silk panties with pretty ribbons that he was wearing...
