The Washington Post cited an unnamed source saying Trump has been fuming over his app flopping upon its release.Trump is now considering signing up with his former aide's conservative social media platform, per The Post.
Former President Donald Trump might be joining the conservative social media platform Gettr following the lackluster performance of his Truth Social app.
Trump has "privately fumed" about Truth Social's failure to attract a sizeable audience since its launch in February, according to The Washington Post, which cited an unnamed source familiar with the matter.
The source also told The Post that the former president is now considering joining Gettr a competitor to Truth Social that claims it is "founded on the principles of free speech."
Citing its source, the outlet reported that Trump has been holding back from posting on Truth Social because he doesn't believe that the app is "ready for prime time."
Truth Social's current head Devin Nunes, who is also a former Republican congressman, has been attempting to assuage Trump's concerns about the app by giving the latter frequent briefings, per The Post.

Why did Trump put Nunes, who has degrees and experience in agriculture in charge of what was supposed to be the biggest social media platform of all time? Because he was loyal to Trump.
I love Trump and I value loyalty but this seems to be yet another case where he made a bizarre hiring decision for an important job based on loyalty or something other than actual credentials and competency.
I’m not wrong about this although I still hope he can turn it around..before all credibility is lost and it no longer matters.
It had a small effect on me. I was with Android from the beginning. Hated Samsung's bloatware that couldn't be in uninstalled. Did not want a Google product, so no pixel. LG I did like - my last phone was an LG but it broke and LG quit the smartphone market. I have had a few other lesser known brands too. Finally made the switch to an iPhone last month - and so far I am loving it. Great camera - better than any other phone's I have owned.
Very difficult to start new platforms when people are used to the ones they have.

Probably. There’s licensing, security of nets and firewalls. Certifications, etc...I wouldn’t doubt that the time discribed is nominal and accurate.
It’s a very slow roll out for Truth Social, doesn’t mean it’s a flop - Devin Nunes said they don’t want to rely on Big Tech

Rollouts are famous for occasional flops, coming in fast and steep don’t make for smoothness of landing.

I agree. Folks at Truth Social need to be fired until the right folks know what they are doing. I’m thinking Trump is being sabotaged from within. Identical to the way he was undermined as President.

You can’t have a platform if people don’t have the ability to use it. Making the Truthsocial app available only to Apple users was stupid and short sighted.
