Both sides have committed atrocities, I don’t believe many will be investigated properly, just “ he said, she said”.

Both sides are using the exact SAME weapons and ammo, and the same tactics.

Hard to know who’s doing what

Defeated armies are known for inflicting great depredations. Worse even than victorious armies.

Russian armies in particular have always been bad news for the civilian populations of friend and foe alike.

Add to that Zelensky encouraging civilians to act as illegal combatants and this was bound to happen.

I was wondering how long it would take you to post the Kremlin’s talking points on this subject.

This is VERY SIMILAR to Israel tying to deal with the Palestinians. Even when Israel is shooting down missiles that are targeting residential areas, they are ATTACKED in the media for being mean.

So the incentive for the Palestinians, knowing that the media is behind them 100%, is to get as many civilians killed as possible (even if that means doing that work themselves, in some cases).

So, if the MEDIA would report fairly (which allows getting things wrong on occasion, but NOT always wrong in the same direction), then civilians would be MUCH SAFER in conflict areas.

Saw nothing objectively convincing, except photos that didn’t look right, couldn’t be verified and could have been staged.

But then again I’m hoping Putin gets the Eastern territories and the global elites, multi-national neo-communists, George Soros, Fox News whores, The Council on Foreign Relations, neocons, The Bushes, CNN and all these FR mystery meat members go choke on their own bile and tears.

I’ll be doing my snoopy dance.

Putin is learning what happens when you surround yourself with kleptocrats and give them billions to modernize the military. Kleptocrats gotta klept.

If Putin survives his disaster, he might want to get rid of the yes men and bring in some realists.

This author assumes the Russians have more missiles, more aircraft, and more troops in reserve. They don’t.

The reality is that the Russians are fighting this war with the most conventional power they can bring to bear.

They are woefully short of advanced weapons systems, their tactics are criminally pathetic, their logistics reeks of corruption, and now it’s starting to look like some of the grievous losses the Russians have suffered were from Russian friendly fire.

A Russian column on the E105 north of Kharkiv was discovered to have been destroyed in the early stages of the war and the wreckage is only now being discovered. The Ukrainians disavow responsibility for the destruction. Which means the Russians killed each other.

What a circus.

As for the atrocities the first one is Russia invading Ukraine. That’s the only one that matters here.

Once the Russian troops crossed into Ukraine they took their chances. Let them go back to Russia and the atrocities end.

Otherwise I wish the Ukrainian people good hunting and perhaps they might take a note from Vlad Tepes on how to deal with invaders.

My dad was a WWII veteran in the 7th Army. Among the unsettling things that he witnessed was anarchy breaking out as civilian law and order collapsed in the wake of the army.

Gangs take over. Vendettas get settled. Civilians are prey. The massacre in Bucha could be Russian war crimes or it could be some other agenda playing out. Or a mixture of several. There’s no way for us to know at our distant remove. The locals might not even be certain.

One side invaded the other and has leveled cities.

As proven by American satellite pictures, Ukrainians bypassed Russian patrols when Bucha was under Russian control, tied up and shot Ukranian civilians in the back of the head, randomly placed them along city streets then sneaked back out.

If Russia was intent on conquering and subjugating Ukraine without regard to the fate of Ukrainian civilians

Why would they do that?

It would be very stupid.

It is much more likely they intended to decapitate the government and install their own puppet, exactly as they did in Afghanistan and in several other countries over the years.

That plan failed.

This is an attempt to say: We really meant things to happen this way, no matter how much it looks like we failed.

I saw a video of Ukrainian troops shooting Russian POW’s. When will that be on the evening news? Why are the Ukrainians be sold to us as the ultimate good guys? Why are we not being given the chance to make up our own minds?

The Russians actually asked the UN to investigate this and the UK killed the motion.

For some reason, Biden and Boris Johnson seem to be best friends, at least on the ideological plane.

His first paragraph is a big lie. My brother-in-law’s residential area in Kharkov was blasted on Invasion Day-Two even though no military target was nearby. Air and artillery delivered ordinance smashed civilian housing from Lvov to Kherson.

The country of eleven time zones brutally invaded the one time zone country and suffered humiliating defeats. Now that the murders, rapes, thefts, and vandalism of the occupying Russians near Kiev are being exposed, they are trying to muddy the waters with counter claims that are baseless but what else can they do? We have all those civilians who are reporting continuous abuse and crimes for a month while the Russian criminals were there.

I figure that the sections of FSB, like the KGB before it, is following the troops and getting rid of the politically undesirable Ukrainians. The KGB squads did this in WWII just as the SS troops dedicated to insuring that ‘untermenschen’ were disposed of after the combat troops pushed forward.

And remember that the NVA/VC, during the Tet Offensive eliminated all the teachers, village and town leaders, and South Vietnamese government employees. Don’t forget about the mass graves found afterward in DaNang.
