The US will announce new sanctions on Russia Wednesday in coordination with Group of 7 nations and the European Union, according to an administration official.
The official said the sweeping package "will impose significant costs on Russia and send it further down the road of economic, financial, and technological isolation." The new sanctions package will ban all new investment in Russia, increase sanctions on financial institutions and state-owned enterprises in Russia, and sanction Russian government officials and their family members. The new sanctions package will mark the latest escalation in efforts by the US and its allies to impose costs on Russia for its invasion and, over time, cut off critical economic sectors the country utilizes to wage the ongoing war. They also follow new revelations of further atrocities committed by Russian forces in northern Ukraine, with the images of the atrocities committed in Bucha serving as an accelerator to ongoing discussions between the US and its European allies to ramp up the economic costs, officials said.

Putin will do more than laugh at us. Biden gets out his sanctions stick to club heck out of the American consumer again. This, from a couple of hours ago.
“We have no desire to inflict damage on anyone, certainly not. There is a need to attentively sort out everything now: logistics and insurers. They (fertilizers - TASS) are in short supply now, short-supplied goods will be taken,” the head of state said. “We need to attentively look at all these problems and solve them on the basis of our own interests in the first instance,” Putin noted.
Its a distraction! If we keep talking about then the distraction is working!

We're already going after private peoples property, seizing it... We are now just being stupid like we always become: “if you don't wear a mask, we'll throw you in jail.” “If you don't get a vaccine, you'll lose your job.”, "if you dare keep your salon open in secret, we'll have a law enforcement task force raid you for not being compliant." Global Warming, ozone hole, baby seals, covid, Russia today. Once that wheel of stupidity starts rolling down a hill, there is no stopping it anymore. It just spins faster and faster out of control until it just sort of fizzels out when all the assholes in charge can take credit for having fixed something.
We take everything to an extreme. Issues pick up inertia and every stupid little politician wants to chime in adding to it, with every stupid little bureaucrat wanting to show they are a faithful servant executing the most idiotic policies at 110%.
How about we start a witch hunt for Russians living in the West? No one has proposed that yet!

The sanctions route already failed. The Russians and everyone else are going to simply laugh at this.
Biden ordered a predator drone strike on a car in Afghanistan that killed 7 children.
The Sink Emperor “Bill Clinton” ordered a missile strike on a commuter train in Serbia that killed hundreds of innocent civilians. He also bombed the Chinese embassy in Sarajevo.
Clinton also ordered the bombing of an aspirin factory in Sudan that killed workers (done the day before the Monica Lewinsky testimony). He also bombed a building in Baghdad that killed a janitor.
Barry Obama ordered strikes in Yehmen and Libya that killed many civilians.
Tell me again, who are the war criminals?
