Anti-Pope.
If there’s no such thing as a just war, how could God command war?
If there is no such thing as a just execution, how could God have commanded stoning?
Is God unjust?
What about the war of God against the Devil?
This is SOOOO not scriptural.
A Pope who never read the Old Testament. Sad.
Just stand by and let it happen?
Sometimes this Pope sounds merely like an atheistic communist. Other times he sounds like the village idiot.
Is stopping a genocide justification for war?
Vis., is the Pope condemning Viet Nam for invading Cambodia to put an end to the genocide there (in Cambodia)?
I suppose if we assume there is no genocide, then genocide doesn’t justify war.
Similarly, if we assume there are no capital offenses (e.g., no first degree murders), then there is no justification for capital punishment.
Everything’s easy when you can assume away evil!
Oh, and let’s no forget the temptation to say you are holy and other people aren’t.
The pope is supposed to be a servant, to shepherd the flock, not proclaim his superiority to the flock. We are all called to service. The police and the military, no less than pastors. And, we all face temptations. The pope, Catholic priests, the various pastors of the protestant denominations are not exceptions. We need some realism and we need some humility.
Sod off, Commie Pedophile.
Not my Pope!
I’m old enough to remember when we had a Pope who had at least a nominal understanding of the catechism, the Scriptures, and the Church Fathers.
Sadly that memory is becoming increasingly remote.
War is generally unjust because just entry into war is usually based on self-defense. Thus, war in general is unjust, but not necessarily all actions in the war.
Actually there is no such thing as a Pope so there’s that……..
Wrong. War to repel an unjust invader is OK.
He’s saying that you must allow an unjust invader to attack and destroy you.
Yeah yeah, I know the view at which PopeIdiot arrives at such but its also apparent that PopeIdiot fails at Just War Theory as well.....
So...previous Popes...Crusades...
I wonder what his take is on THIS one?
Revelation 12:7
And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
Which is why the Vatican is armed.
Thanks, but I’ll stick with St. Augustine and 1,600 years of Church history.
Bergoglio Is Not The Pope.
He’s little more than a virtue signaler, outside of the administrative side of his office, and other people probably do most of that.
