Pope Francis: ‘There Is No Such Thing as a Just War!’
American Thinker.com ^ | April 5, 2022 | Raymond Ibrahim

Pope Francis, a leading advocate of Doormat Christianity, is at it again, trying to reverse nearly two millennia of Christian doctrine, by preaching total passivity -- even against violent aggression.

On March 18, 2022, Francis declared before an audience that “A war is always -- always! -- the defeat of humanity, always. We, the educated, who work in education, are defeated by this war, because on another side we are responsible.”

So far, all well and good, if only because such lofty but impotent words are expected. But then he went so far as to say that, “There is no such thing as a just war: they do not exist!”

That is a remarkably dangerous claim, one that, if embraced -- as no doubt it is by millions of similar naïve thinkers -- can easily lead to their annihilation.

There is, indeed, such a thing as a just war -- the only rational way of responding to unjust wars -- and it is firmly grounded in Christian, especially Catholic, teaching, even if the head of the Catholic world argues otherwise.

In fact, from the very start, Christian theologians had concluded that “the so called charity texts of the New Testament that preached passivism and forgiveness, not retaliation, were firmly defined as applying to the beliefs and behavior of the private person [and not the state],” to quote historian Christopher Tyerman.

Thanks, but I’ll stick with St. Augustine and 1,600 years of Church history.

The Catholic Church of which I am ashamed to say I belong, has become a political animal, the previous Pope was simply replaced (not due to death) by this NWO commie Pope I am disgusted with my own church, I still have a very strong faith but the church sickens me!! I have NEVER been able to forgive the coverup of the molestation of children by priests and now this Pope was just the icing on the cake!! Bishops, Cardinals, ALL except ONE have been a HUGE disappointment social justice sermons constantly to much for me to take anymore!! In CA. there is now ONE English speaking mass VERY EARLY in the morning all other masses are in Spanish I no longer live in America where at one time if you came to this country you were expected to speak our language NOW I am expected to speak Spanish!!

He’s little more than a virtue signaler, outside of the administrative side of his office, and other people probably do most of that.

What you just described is a snapshot in time. The Church is billions of people and 2000 years of history. Whenever I get disgusted with our current crop of hirelings, I focus on the great Fathers of the Church, the saints, the heroes and holy men and women who gave their lives for the Church over the centuries. Our present leaders will die and be judged by God and may He have mercy on them! We must endeavor to be among the harvest of saints and holy souls laboring in obscurity who will rebuild the collapsing Church over the next 50 years.

Too bad his own church didn’t believe that during the dark ages. Millions persecuted, tortured, killed by his church. And it was all prophecied just like he is. Daniel 7:25.

As Dennis Greene once said.......”She is who the Bible says she is” Too bad the whole earth will be deceived too.

I really like that term, “Doormat Christianity”. It sums up so much in just two words.

It’s a good thing da Poop wears a pointy-head cap. The boy is a dunce. I guess the moron thinks we should have allowed the Nazis to go on murdering Jews and Slavs.

Anti-Pope Francis <<< St. Augustine. I’m not Catholic, but I have read Augustine’s works.

Do you mean St Augustine, FL which is the oldest city in the US and is my most favorite city in the US. If you have never visited that city it is a absolute must that you do. Otherwise they can give the entire state of Florida back to Spain. This is how much I care about FL. So there, I said it.
