Satellite images which show dead bodies lining the streets of Bucha weeks ago appear to have debunked Russian claims that they were placed there after their troops left the Ukrainian commuter town.
Authorities in Ukraine said the bodies of at least 410 civilians have been found in areas outside of Kyiv - specifically in the town of Bucha - after last week's withdrawal of Russian troops.
Horrific images show many civilians with bound hands, close-range gunshot wounds and signs of torture. A growing number of world leaders have voiced outrage and called for tougher sanctions against Moscow.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov dismissed the accusations that Russian troops committed the atrocities as a 'staged provocation' but has yet to provide the 'empirical evidence' he says proves they are not responsible.
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defence issued a lengthy statement which said no civilians had suffered violence at the hands of Russian troops and that the images were staged.

A second video depicted three more bodies which satellite images show appeared there between March 20 and 21, according to the Times, again - before Russia said they left the town.
Meanwhile, other Russian claims include that one body appears to move in a video taken from a moving car but this was later debunked by fact-checkers and proved to be a mark on the windshield in higher quality footage.
Russia's defence ministry added: 'It is of particular worry that all the bodies of the people whose images have been published by the Kiev regime are not stiffened after at least four days.'
But a forensic pathologist who has worked on war crime investigations told the BBC that after four days, the process of stiffening - known as rigor mortis - has usually subsided.

Russian soldiers have been blown up and torched by modern anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons, shot at night by Ukrainian snipers wearing advanced thermal night vision goggles, their wounded comrades were shot in the heads by the Kadyrov militia, their bodies were abandoned and eaten by stray dogs, because the state refused to pick them up, while they were killing other native Russian speakers, Slavic Orthodox Christians just like them, while being told that they are Nazis.
the returning soldiers will tell Russians that there are no Nazis in Ukraine, and that they were sent there to kill other Russians, no different from them. The collective reaction of Russians is wholly unpredictable.

Don’t bother. A section of FR has increasingly become a caricature of everything it originally stood against. FR was originally about conservatism, both fiscal and social, small government, rule of law, faith, doing the right thing, strong military, strong Christian values, etc. In the old FR we used to laugh and marvel at the lies liberals told, at how they’d twist things to try and force a narrative, at how weak-minded they were to believe things that were so patently false.
That FR still exists, but it has been diluted by a newer cohort of people who are all about conspiracy theories (including the ridiculous- I still follow a lady here who claims Trump is secretly controlling the WH - she is one of the diehards).

Don’t get me wrong - I am not saying the media does not lie. Of course it does. Propaganda, from all sides, has existed since human beings could speak.
But just because ‘the media lies’ doesn’t mean that people automatically believe the opposite is true. Just because Ukraine is not necessarily a bastion of democracy doesn’t make the Russians the good guys! Just because the Azov Battalion is comprised of neo-Nazis doesn’t make the Russian army liberators!

They get more insane and inane every month, and have been doing by so for a couple years now. As you mentioned, it is a real stretch to claim the Ukrainians committed those killings. It’s just another FR conspiracy.

And then here on FR I read someone claiming this:

Well, yes! Those are, indeed, ‘foreigners’ from ‘dirtbag countries’ in Ukraine - RUSSIAN foreigners from Russia!
Those are Russian mercenaries working for the Wagner Group, who had been doing mercenary work around the world (including Africa), being pulled back and sent to fight in Ukraine following the issues the Russian army has faced there (…by the way another conspiracy here is that the media is ‘lying’ about the failings of the Russian army).
The Daily Mail has been caught feeding more propaganda than pravda or the democrats. And satellite images can be created out of thin air just like everything else these days. So matter what the truth is you can’t believe anything the media says or shows you.
Fresh Russkie conscripts get tortured and raped by each other, and not just once or twice but a lot, such that the Russian army has large numbers of suicides every year.
It is a practice stemming from their Gulag culture that permeates that entire shitty country.
Witnesses point the finger at Russian soldiers, not Russian supplied Chechens or other terrorists brought in by Russia.
Russian soldiers are not big on health and safety. They even stuffed bodies into the water supply and defecated on the corpse. They defecated on the floor in each room of the police station in Bucha. Some Russians were living in a home where they slaughtered livestock--inside the home--and were sleeping next to the guts and leftovers of the animal.
Russian soldiers are called Orcs and Goblins for a reason.
They're peasant folks. None of the "civilized gentlemen" from Moscow and St. Petersburg will allow themselves to be drafted in the Russian Army.
It's the equalivent of a 5th Century German getting drafted to serve in the modern Germany military.
These photos are from March, when Russia was still in the country, and the rumors of these mass deaths have been circulating for at least a week, and began getting confirmed around April 1st and 2nd on twitter as the Russians withdrew.
This "there was a gap!" nonsense is just another shitty Russian propaganda point, which of course you embrace even as you see satellite photos of the corpses in the same positions as they were when the videos were taken later, telling us it is a CIA fabrication. You do not stop to think that Russian BS might be what is fabricated, since you are on their side and rooting for these totalitarians. You are, in fact, a totalitarian yourself, you just do not wish to admit it.

How are Ukrainians killing collaborators in a city that the Russians did not claim they left until March 30th-April 1st?
It is being repeated on FR but was not born here. I have seen all of these arguments from Russian bot accounts on Telegram and twitter prior to them appearing here. None of it is original. None of it derives from their own work or alleged critical thinking. Sometimes the FReepers who repeat them are so stupid they repeat them incorrectly too, giving wrong information, meaning they are regurgitating Russian propaganda but can't even do it correctly.
IOW, these people are shitting on the media as totally fake (even while the Daily Mail, in particular, used to receive praise for reporting on the Vax or stuff US media "would not cover"), while taking low effort posts on Telegram and shitty Russian blogs as the highest Gospel. And this they do without citing their sources or acknowledging where this information is coming from.
The Ukrainian Army was doing the same thing in Mariupol. Watch Patrick Lancaster’s videos on YouTube to see the reality of war in the Donbas where the Azov Battalion and other NeoNazi militias have been hunting Russians living in Ukraine for 8 years. Both sides are corrupt and are doing horrible things to each other, which is the case in wartime. To pretend that only one side engages in such atrocities shows a lack of critical thinking.
