Sens. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Mitt Romney (R-Utah) announced Monday night that they will vote to confirm Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court, making them the second and third Republicans to confirm their vote for President Joe Biden’s court pick.
“After multiple in-depth conversations with Judge Jackson and deliberative review of her record and recent hearings, I will support her historic nomination to be an Associate Justice on the U.S. Supreme Court,” Murkowski said in a statement.
Romney soon followed in a tweet:

I think Mitt Romney is going to resign after this term. So he doesn’t give a ****.
There is not a party primary in Alaska anymore...
Romney is “only” 75. You’d think he want several more terms, and based on 2018 results (72/28 winner primary, 63/31 general) he’s a lock for that seat as long as he wants it.
she did - albeit with just over 39% of the vote. She is less popular now than she was then...but the Democrats won’t have a candidate on the ballot this time of their own - she will probably get nearly 100% of their votes as a result.
I see million $$$ book deals in their future. “Everyone” will want to read all about their “courage”.
The Murk hasn't had that time of the month for half a century.
Mittens and “da Kow” must be loaded with “white guilt”.
And if we had conservatives tipping the balance?
They have BOTH lost the Republican base SO they are counting on survival from the democrats they NEED TO BE removed from the Republican caucus, just as Liz Cheney AND Susan Collins SHOULD BE REMOVED!!
The Senate puts on another show for a Biden win.
Of course…destroy the court and destroy the country…
I hope she only wins by a handful of votes. It was a disgrace that Ginsberg won 96-3 despite her history of Marxist action on behalf of the ACLU.
80+% Democrat approval. True.
I guess fish-mouth Murkowski is fishing for Dem votes then. Gawd, I despise her.
Even better (much better), obviously.
Collins is just a place holder - she represents a left of center state. There is no excuse for having Republican Senators like Romney from especially Utah and Murkowski from Alaska.
Oh really? How many times was amnesty passed or even brought up for a vote when the GOP took control of the Senate? Not a single freaking time. Just another bogus argument you are peddling.
And to repeat - of course if Democrats had been in control in 2016, they would have blocked Garland's nomination just the same as the GOP did. Then they would have quickly confirmed Gorsuch by using the nuclear option just like the GOP did, and all of those numerous 5-4 decisions on very important cases that went the conservative way would have still done so, vs. 5-4 the Leftist way - right? Not a dimes worth of difference there between those two scenarios, right? Likewise, a Dem controlled Senate would have confirmed Kavanaugh and Barrett, passed major tax reform, numerous CRA provisions, repeal of the individual mandate, record number of judges, etc., right?
Collins is just a placeholder who does in fact represent a left of center state...she’s also authentic and doesn’t lie about where she stands or who she is. I don’t like where she stands, but at least she isn’t a fraud.
Murkwoski and Romney are frauds.
The people of Utah make me sick for putting this carpetbagging cretin in the senate.
“...but she’s clearly a Commie stooge POS that is unqualified to sit on ANY federal bench.”
The only qualification that matters is that she’s black and that she’s a woman (even if she doesn’t know what that is).
Flimsey Grahamnesty has voted for amnesty THREE times.
How many chances to sell us out should we give them?
