Zelensky lacks Military expertise, but has been wise enough to allow those with that expertise to direct Military Operations - and they widely outperformed expectations.
On the other hand, Zelensky has a real talent for performing for the cameras, and has been a star at acquiring resources for his Military. He even got Germany to break their taboo, and provide lethal weaponry into a conflict zone, for the first time since WWII. He is out there pitching every day, and bringing in plane loads of weapons every day. He really produces results.
Not only did he get a free Prime Time spot on the Grammy’s to drum up cash, he also was on Face the Nation the same day, and got ministerial level response from four major countries (USA, UK, Germany and France) to commit to further actions against Russia. He is getting media and results like that almost every day.

The entertainers were almost all against support for the Iraq and Afghanistan war. Not supporting the country after 9/11 when the democrat party with the Clintons leading turned against the USA just 2 weeks later.
His speech at the Grammys was superb in every way. It was from the heart and totally authentic. If they took a collection from the audience like they do at church, they would need armed guards to load up the Brinks armored car outside. The crowd gave a rousing roar of approval. It made me proud.
His once popularity is dropping daily as he begs for more of more of more - while his countries people continue to lay their life on a line and loss of their homes - while he sits in his protected areas filming videos and playing his role as the actor he was hired and paid to play.
