Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said Supreme Court decisions put Americans on the cusp of losing "fundamental rights" Sunday on "Life, Liberty & Levin."
Over and over again, the big landmark cases are 5-4," he told host Mark Levin. "We're one vote away on issue after issue after issue from losing our fundamental rights."

I read an interesting Facebook comment responding to a news site article about Cruz and these comments.
Someone took a conservative view on the comments and a liberal replied with roughly:
“There is no such thing as fundamental rights. There is no God so there are no rights given by them. The only rights you are given are the rights given by the government. And if we in the majority want to take them away from you we will. If we don’t want to hear your bullish!+ about abortion, we can make it illegal to talk against it. Too bad. Get over it.”
It was a minor wake up call to me that that is really where we are all headed soon.
I’ve encountered such people. Unsurprisingly they believe such tyranny will never apply to them. When the jackboot eventually comes to stomp on their face they will do anything to appease their statist masters. Their cowardice and fear will not even allow them to save their own children.
A liberal replacing a liberal. How does that change anything?
There are only two conservatives on the court now.

We’re commanded to pray for such people. I try, until push comes to shove.
Paul commanded for us to pray for our leaders as he did for his. And Paul's political leaders were off the chart insane. Men like Tiberius, Caligula, etc. Our prayer is simply to be that they will lead in such a way as to allow us to lead quiet and peaceable lives.
