Far less pontification on the part of the press then too. But there was some government oversight of the press as well.

...The Russian economy must be destroyed and then rebuilt by those who can take a slice off the top for Ukranian reparations. EXXON, Shell, Total, and BP will combine to form a consortium to run the whole Russian oil business and take 15% of the revenue to rebuild Ukraine...

Since when is it Ameica's job to destroy the Russian economy, so a backwater country like Ukraine can collect "reparations", and a bunch of multi-national corporations can make more money? Funny how that looks like it came straight out of some 'globalist' playbook, somewhere.

But let's get 'er done! Just make a quick 911 call to "Globo Robo Cops" (US military), line up another $5-$10 trillion bucks of American taxpayers' money, and put America into another overseas conflict, where the US has even fewer vital interests at stake than our last several wars. I'm sure destroying the Russian economy will benefit a whole boat-load of Americans outside the Beltway... \sarc

Your Americentric view is passe.

Europe in the form of the EU has the reason and is developing the courage to act. EU is in fact acting as we post. By assuming it is an American task indicates how backward you are in your thinking.

The oil consortium proposed is not all American. Only one American company was actually included. All the others are European

The whole world knows that a Biden Aerica is incapable of any real action

Thank you for that great reality check post, but you forgot to include the corrupt republicrats, too.

There’s lots of guilt to go around here to go along with the sadness for those there who, just like us here, are simply doing their best to work around it all and live a normal life.

It all makes me happy that my family ancestors bailed on Europe and the perpetual family feuding and came here.

If only we here could honor President Washington’s thoughts about avoiding foreign entanglements and the Constitutional requirements about a maintaining a secure border.

We’d be a better nation for it and a much better neighbor, too. If only …

Shell and BP are UK companies and part of the historic Anglo-American duopoly on oil ever since it was determined that ships could sail farther, faster on oil than on coal around 1900.

The UK is not part of the EU.

Your Americentric view is passe.

It is safe to say that millions of Americans believe America's top priority should be America - the view is hardly "passe". And suggesting that a war in a backwater country where America has few or no vital interests is somehow of critical importance to the United States, is more than just slightly eccentric.

Europe in the form of the EU has the reason and is developing the courage to act. EU is in fact acting as we post. By assuming it is an American task indicates how backward you are in your thinking.

Indeed, if the war is a European problem, then let Europe deal with it. I have never suggested that helping one belligerent or harming the other was an "American task". In fact, America should not be providing billions of dollars in aid to Ukraine (if they want military hardware they can pay full price), or engaging in economic 'sanctions' that could potentially harm this country.

The oil consortium proposed is not all American. Only one American company was actually included. All the others are European

Perhaps you should reread my post; based on a long professional relationship with the oil & gas industry, I purposely referred to the companies as "multi-national corporations".

The whole world knows that a Biden Aerica is incapable of any real action

On the contrary, our current administration is more than capable of breaking the budget, harming real American interests in the name of political expediency, and sacrificing American taxpayers on the alter of kleptocratic globalism. And as a previous non-passe, non-Americentric president once noted, "Don't underestimate Joe's ability to fuck things up"...

People were not the targets
Russia seems to be using precision targeting to extent feasible

The “people” being deliberately targeted are military troops ( selected units), mercenaries all, ultra right wing “neo nazi” paramilitaries and special units

Civilian facilities being hit are those the Russians believe to have become military targets by action of the Ukes

Yeah, seems like I saw a Ukrainian article a day or so back, about how the Russian troops are so hungry they're killing and eating their officers, and then falling over dead within hours from 'mad cow disease'; IIRC, there were photos of Miss Ukraine there, handing out steak knives...
