Everybody who is in power wants to stay in power, and not a one of them gives one hoot about the people who are affected, as long as they remain in power. That free flow of fuel, fertilizer, and food is necessary for humanitarian reasons and for economic reasons, including fighting against inflation, and also for economically disempowering terrorist countries of the Middle East.
It is never good for one country to invade another country. Putin invaded Ukraine, and that was bad.
