Good question, dude. How did we treate Serbia, which rescued and hid downed US flyers, at great NAZI peril to themselves?

Quick question: why are you so apparently emotionally invested in what is happening in a regional conflict in Eastern Europe.

I've asked this question of several very vocal and prolific Ukraine cheerleaders; not one has answered.

I'll answer. I am opposed to senseless wars started by tyrants. And I really dislike posters who just repeat the propaganda talking points from their boss.

Quick question for you. If you don't care about what is happening in Ukraine why are you reading and posting on threads about the war in Ukraine?

I’ll answer it: We bombed the sh!t out of them. And?

In the 50 years that elapsed since the end of WWII (when most Serbs could claim to have been “good guys”) they supported a lot of evil. First, there was Communism. Second, when communist Yugoslavia fell apart it was Serbian communists which tried to repress the other states in Yugoslavia. Third, after Yugoslavia fell apart, many Serbs started dreaming of a Greater Serbia again. Remember that whole nasty little war in Bosnia? Yeah, that. Then the world got upset over big, bad Serbia killing Kosovars so we bombed the sh!t out of them. And?

I’m not saying it was right. I’m not saying it was wrong. But to bring up Serbians’ aid to downed allied flyers in 1943 as if that proves or disproves anything about 1999 or now is just foolishness.

I am baffled as to how so many Freepers have lost their minds over this war in Ukraine.

***Taking a sorta 40,000 foot viewpoint of things, looking through the clouds of disinformation... we see that one country invaded the other. We also see that this is the 2nd invasion since OIL was discovered there, in those very regions where trouble is being stirred up. And we also see that there was a nuclear proliferation Agreement that the US president signed, that the Rukes signed and violated twice, and that the Ukes signed and HONORED. If we don’t get nuke proliferation right, then it is no longer a “regional” conflict, it is one that directly threatens trailerpark badasses like you.
