Germany Suffering ‘In the Most Brutal Way’ Over Russian Gas Addiction – Minister
Breitbart ^ | 30 Mar 2022 | PETER CADDLE

Germany’s addiction to Russian gas has come to backfire on the European state, with one minister saying that the country is now suffering ‘in the most brutal way’ thanks to the policymaking of previous administrations.

Annalena Baerbock, a senior member of Germany’s Green party who is now serving as the country’s Federal Foreign Minister, has said that her nation is now suffering “in the most brutal way” as a result of its addiction to Russian gas.

Baerbock’s comments come as German authorities prepare for Russia to cease its supply of gas to the country, after the G7 nation outright refused to pay for its Russian gas fix in rubles.

According to a report by POLITICO, Baerbock took aim at the decisions of previous political administrations, saying that it had been obvious for a long time that relying on Russian fuel was not a good idea.

“Actually, we as Europeans have known since 2014 at the latest… that we must become completely independent of Russian fossil fuel imports, and a strategy was put in place to diversify our energy imports,” the Foreign Minister is reported as saying.

“However, we did not tackle this, and this is now taking its revenge in the most brutal way,” she continued.

Meanwhile, in the UK...

Portsmouth City Council to terminate Gazprom contract The local authority plans to end the contract two years before its expiry date

From the link...

...Gazprom is believed to be the largest energy supplier, by volume, to British industrial and commercial clients, supplying around 22% of all gas to more than 30,000 clients, including public bodies....

And we're supposed to believe the UK and Germany are allied against Putin...

Uh huh.

Recent history demonstrates a significant fight between Trump and Zelensky, against German Chancellor Merkel (East German KGB recruited*), and her predecessor - German Chancellor Gerhard Schroder (Chairman amd Putin selected board member of Russian majority state owned energy goliaths Rosneft and Gazprom, and Chairman of Russian Nord Stream 2).

It is more than plausible Zelensky was only ever in a position to fight with Germany, having been overwhelmingly elected in 2019 by roughly 70% of the UA vote, due to Trump ‘Knights’ SoS Mike Pompeo, and Rudy Giuliani severely interrupting massive corruption/destabilization/economic rape efforts of the DNC, Clinton Foundation, and Soros — and Russian/Ukrainian Kremlin oligarch tag team involved in laundering, racketeering, and thuggery within Ukraine.

Zelensky didn’t just fight with Germany over Nord Stream 2, even while threatened Zelensky stood with Trump against DNC efforts to carry out a THIRD coup’d’etat effort over Trump trying to end the massive DNC corruption in Ukraine —

Germany has a lot of coal.
They gave it up, and forced all EU to shut their coal mining too.
Crazy.

That’s what I think too. German people are naive and foolish, but their leadership for the past 20 years or so has been evil.

I am very cautiously optimistic now that it can be turned around. Very cautiously.

You are onto something here —

France is in the process of building a whole new generation of nuclear power plants, and they are already getting roughly 80% of their power from nike plants.

Additionally, Ukraine had recently announced it was going to build several new US nuclear power plants, and was planning to market nuclear power to the EU.

Obviously Putin couldn’t let that happen, so Ukraine and all its people and resources had to be resubordimated to the Russian Federation through the CIS —

Radio Odesa is asked: What’s happening in the currency markets? What is the course of the rouble against the dollar and pound?

Radio Odesa answers: The course is 1 to 1. One dollar buys one pound of well-dried roubles.

Germany already buys some electricity from France with its nuclear power plants. Germany would be wise to follow the French example here.

You’re right, it started way before Trump. Hell, Reagan was warning them against building a pipeline from Russia. That said, they were at their most stupid making themselves the most dependent ever by shutting down their coal and nuclear power plants and building another big pipeline from Russia when Trump was trying to urge them to pull their heads out of their asses the last few years.

As is oh so typical for them they acted smug and thought themselves so much smarter than everybody else. Then…….

This in one of the few areas where Trump got it wrong. The “addiction” theory promotes the Soros/Schwab agenda.

All of the captured Ukrainian regions in the south and east are rich in petroleum reserves. Before the war these regions represented Europe's alternative to buying Russian petroleum.

Any Russian gas the west embargoes , just constricts world supply and drives the price up. Russia can just sell everything to the bric nations and out east at higher prices and not even notice Europe’s temper tantrum. The Petro-ruble and Agro-ruble will replace the 100x fractional lending fake US House of Saud petrodollar by the end of this year. What can Biden do about it? Nothing. 3 billion citizens of the world WILL buy Russian commodities. The west is about to deliver itself into a devastating recession and food crisis, and discover how expensive virtue signalling for Ukronazis is going to be.

"Putin stands in their way of true new world order."

Or maybe Putin is one of the new world order's agents. Maybe Zelensky is also.

Yes, I don’t have the link handy, but Germany posts online its hourly(?) energy usage by type, and on calm cold nights when the solar goes to zero and the wind is nil, they have to import some electricity.

It is interesting to see German Greenies screaming for more green energy in the interest of self-reliance, because I just don’t see how they can “get there” even if they cover the whole country with solar panels and wind farms. They have no way to store the power from sunny, breezy days, for calm cold nights.

Rural Southeast Missouri has this:

But I don’t know if it’d be practical in Germany.
