I doubt brother Chuck will allow Andrew to “mission creep” back into public royal life once he is king, and we may not even see the queen in public too much in the future. She will probably make the effort for her Jubilee celebrations this year, but after that, her physical limitations may keep her confined to her homes. She supposedly does not want to be seen using a wheelchair.
Either that...or the plan was always to have Andrew do what he did and the House of Windsor lied to the public.

I just presumed Andrew was with the Queen because Phillip was his father and the Queen wanted him with her during the service. She didn’t wish to sit alone this time. I didn’t realize he was breaking protocol. But then the English are known for having many rules of procedure for any social event involving the Queen.
I’m not sure if this is really such a huge deal. It’s always been pretty common knowledge that Andrew is the Queen’s favorite and she has always doted on him more than her other children. She likely just wanted Andrew with her on what was likely an emotional day. As for the Epstein thing, she would hardly be the first mother to have a bit of blind spot the failings of one of her children.
Much ado about nothing.
Andrew is a typical narcissist. Only cares about himself.
