Legal advice is easy - just say “No” to everything!
That’s why lawyers can be such a big obstacle to getting anything done!

Well, after graduating from UCLA and before getting his law degree, he did serve in the US Marine Corps in Vietnam and was awarded a Bronze Star.

Which doesn't necessarily mean he isn't a Communist now.

Democrat activist lawyers and judges may think that the only way to stop Trump from winning in 2024, short of assassination, is by having him indicted for a felony.

Interestingly, the Judge’s Wikipedia page has already been update to list this decision.

Bet if it was the oposite, a resounding smack down, it wouldn’t find the light of day.

Likely. Strong word.

Chances of indictment: zero.

Not a lawyer but this judge’s ruling seems to be shading the preponderance of evidence standard with more opinion than fact when it comes President Trump.

What is a judge whose jurisdiction is Calif doing ruling on something where the jurisdiction is in DC? Sounds like he is way out of his area or responsibility or the Dems judge shopped — all the way across the country.

I’m not familiar with ‘more likely than not’ as a legal foundation for ANYthiNG.
But, I will defer to the fine legal minds here on FR...

Why is a California judge involved in this?

more likely than not

Hardly sounds to me that he is convinced beyond the shadow of a doubt.

(hopefully) Trump to Judge: Bite Me.

It was a speech. A good one. Told the truth, then said let your - voices - be heard. Constitutionally sound.

Shouldn’t a judge appointed by Clinton remove themself because of a conflict of interest?

so if your kid came to my yard, and ripped out a rose bush, i would not accept more likely than not, either he did or did not.

more likely than not is a term used by those phone call pollsters.

More likely than not is preponderance of the evidence. It’s a legal standard that’s been in place for centuries.

I am saying since he “likely” would determine what is a crime because he “likely” has TDS, then he “likely” is a communist, a child molester, and has sex with farm animals! See how that works?

That’s my question too. It always seems like some random judge from [wherever] is deciding to “rule” on something - what is that about?

The “judge” from CA was ruling on whether or not Eastman had to turn over documents to the 1/6 “committee.” Eastman is a lawyer out of CA. Eastman claimed attorney/client privilege, which is negated if the communications are to “further or conceal a crime.”
