MacKenzie Scott, the ex-wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, gave a record-breaking $275 million donation to abortion provider Planned Parenthood.
Scott’s donation is part of her pledge to donate the majority of her wealth. She walked away with a 4 percent stock interest in Amazon after her divorce. Scott’s donation is the largest in Planned Parenthood’s history.
The donation comes as legal scholars anticipate Roe v. Wade may be overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court this term.
Planned Parenthood said 2021 “ was the worst year for abortion rights since Roe v. Wade was decided in 1973.”
While conservative states have passed laws restricting access to abortions, California just passed a law making abortion free for those who want one.
Planned Parenthood CEO Alexis McGill Johnson said Scott’s donation will help black women, who “will be most hurt by the loss of abortion access in the South and Midwest.”
“This will support our efforts to advance health equity by eliminating racial and structural barriers for our patients in the communities where Planned Parenthood works,” Johnson said.
"By starting with the Black health experience in partnership with local communities, we see this as an opportunity to not only improve health outcomes for Black patients, but to transform how all patients, especially those of color and those in rural and low income communities, experience our health care, education, and organizing efforts."
Scott announced she had donated over $3.8 billion to 465 different non-profit organizations, including Planned Parenthood, since last June. “Our team’s focus over these last nine months has included some new areas, but our aim has been to support the needs of underrepresented people from groups of all kinds,” Scott wrote.

The idea that “black women” are somehow harmed by imperfect access to abortion - wow, that’s gotta be one of the most racist statements ever. Every time some white chick starts talking how ethnic minorities somehow “need” abortion more than she does - everyone with a brain should cringe at statements like this. No one should ever leave a statement like that unchallenged, but everyone does.
And I’m sure “black women,” the ones who are not absolute fools, understand it as such. They know liberals and Democrats and socialists are racists. They understand the whole idea, and IT DOESN’T BOTHER THEM. As long as the gravy keeps coming, they will point a finger at you - trying to get along with others and stay out of trouble in an increasingly crazy world - and call you a racist and you’ll have to defend yourself against it or accept the title.

The behavior of Ms. Scott, her ex husband, Zuckerberg, Gates, Buffett, Dorsey, Bloomberg, and other billionaire oligarchs provide a strong argument in favor of Elizabeth Warren’s confiscatory wealth tax.
I’m not quite to the point of favoring a wealth tax on the living. However, I strongly support a change in the law for large foundations. Eliminate the income tax exemption for foundations. Also require foundations to disperse their money within 25 years of being established, with no rollover to other foundations.
The big foundations funded by billionaires, with money that never runs out, (Rockefeller, Ford, etc) are all eventually coopted by leftist social justice warriors who change the mission of the foundation to supporting progressive causes and funding progressive organizations with the sole purpose of fundamentally changing the United States. For example, Andrew Carnegie’s legacy was a foundation established to construct and support public libraries across the United States. The foundation exists today, and supports progressive causes globally. It last gave money for a library in the United States in the 1950’s. Henry Ford II resigned from the board of the Ford Foundation in 1976 because it had veered from its mission and was funding too many anti-capitalist causes.

Scott needs the lord. If she has been saved in the past, then she needs to rediscover her savior because it is very evident that she is an avid supporter of an organization that destroys what God creates, life.
