A Russian army commander has been killed by a group of demoralised soldiers fed up with the scale of losses during the invasion of Ukraine, Western officials have said.
The commander of the 37th rifle brigade, named by officials as Colonel Medvechek, is understood to have been run over by one of his own soldiers who had grown frustrated by his unit's heavy losses.

The Putin toe-suckers have a hard time with that photo.
He’s such a defender of “christendom” and a fierce enemy of the NWO.
don’t be surprised if biden comes back and says “I fought briefly i n the ukranian war when my handlers weren’t looking- I rescued a woman from the 24’th floor who was screaming for help- I flew a helicopter to the front lines, and took out a few Russian tanks before i got called back to the hotel”
and don’t be surprised if the msm doesn’t call him on it
“NWO Nazis”
What’s that?
This place is getting funny.
Yesterday a fellow FReeper tried to disprove a point I was making by linking to an article in Daily Kos.
From what I can see, Uzbekistan has taken a neutral position in the conflict so I doubt the soldiers were assigned to Russian command.
Was this on purpose, or just a result of all of the above?
Was the person run over staggering into the path of a vehicle due to Vodka consumption?
Chances are the basic story is true.
A person was run over by a person driving a vehicle.
Why and how did it happen? Who was the person? We'll never know.
And Biden never saw Air Force One...
But the whole world is coming to appreciate the inspiration of The Great Gate At Kiev......
Unclear on who the troopers were at this point. But several Russian-approved military pictures that have been released clearly show Central Asian troops in the theatre of operations.
The 37th MRB could then be a Russian unit stood up for commanding Uzbek soldiers/volunteers/mercenaries. It would make sense to put the Uzbeks into cohesive units and to give them a familiar and patriotic unit designation.
Kudos to the Russian Army if they were clever enough to do that.
FR Ukies. All dedicated to fighting to the last Ukrainian.
Gives the term fragging a whole new meaning.
“Exactly the type of information which is not likely to be known by the opposition, or revealed by the involved parties.”
Generally, that is true. Unless there is a source who was captured or defected.
hard to believe.
.
but the Rus are giving captured Uke weapons(nato supplied) to the Donbass Militias!
.
The L/DPR People’s Militias received the Osa air defense system, tanks, armored vehicles of various models, including British Saxon armored personnel carriers, pontoon bridges, artillery and many other weapons. The L/DPR forces received US, German and British-made ATGMs that were supplied to the Kiev regime by their Western partners. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation added that among other weapons, 113 tanks and 138 Javelin ATGMs were transferred to the L/DPR....nice video of these at link

CIA neocon warmongers ?
So here’s the thing. While I can find ample enough information referencing the 37th MRB I’m not finding diddly squat about this supposed Colonel.
There are two names in the media for this guy who supposedly got run over by one of his own tankers.
“Col. Medvechek” (No first name that I can find)
and “Yuri Medvedev”
and neither name is checking out for me.
Which raises my BS meter that it’s the ‘victim’ that might be imaginary.
Not the unit mentioned in the article.
A retired military colleague of mine made a good point. Russia has shot some of their own military jets out of the air early in this campaign because they don't all have the technology and training to differentiate friend or foe and both sides are flying some of the similar aircraft.
This seems to have required a tank instead of a grenade so I’m going to go with “tracking.”
