The State University of New York at Brockport said in a statement that the possibility of "large numbers" of police officers on-campus during an event featuring a convicted cop killer could be "traumatizing," and is allowing students to skip class during the day of the event.

And then these students expect us to pay for their student loans.
What the hell is Brockport doing?? It’s a State School...Call the damn governor and stop it.
There is simply no question that the tax money being spent on so called “higher education” is being squandered and simply not useful.
Here's something from Bill Maher on that.

I know he's a leftist, but when he's right, he's right.
I wrote to the Governor. It’s a State School and she has the Power to stop this.
I hope these kids break out into tremors and collapse at the sight of a policeman. Maybe when their heads bounce off the concrete it will knock a little sense into them.
What a bunch of sissies!
Defund the universities.
Got a message from an old friend that works at this school stating that this event will now be held as virtual only.
Those students are being set up for a mass shooting.
The inmates are in full control of the asylum.
I guess if a student were up to no good , seeing the police may “traumatize” him. What a bunch of spoiled losers.
I am rethinkinking absolute trust in police. They have apcs and attack helicopters. They are now a posse commitatus work aroud.. especially with the patriot act.
I fully support and am vested in my sherrif and his folks. The sheriff is the only man who can stand on your doorstep between you and the federal government.
After j6, no one should support unionized pds and their militarization.
You’re right about the militarizing of PDs (especially as the ctrl-left controls more and more of them with each passing day); the biggest argument against PDs was made when they refused to enforce basic laws during the BLM/anarchist riots. They sacrificed the properties, and sometimes the lives, of the people who paid them to appease groups that most likely will never contribute a dime to the upkeep of police forces.
I’d imagine those who suffered losses during the leftist riots have grounds for lawsuits - even from insurers, who price in such factors as paid fire departments and the like. If law and order aren’t maintained, then their calculations are meaningless - and their losses are huge.
That ship sailed for me when I saw local and state po-po harassing their fellow citizens for not social distancing and/or not wearing a muzzle.
