JULIAN ASSANGE to marry in Belmarsh Prison today
Sky News ^ | March 23 | Megan Baynes

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange will marry his fiancé in Belmarsh Prison today, just weeks before the third anniversary of his dramatic arrest.

Assange has been held in high-security jail ever since he was dragged out of London's Ecuadorian embassy in 2019 and last year was given permission to marry.

He is currently fighting extradition to the United States, where he is wanted for an alleged conspiracy to obtain and disclose national defence information following WikiLeaks' publication of hundreds of thousands of leaked documents relating to the Afghanistan and Iraq wars.

He has always denied any wrongdoing and won support for his case from human rights organisations and journalist groups across the world.

His fiancée Stella Moris spoke of her joy at being allowed to marry the WikiLeaks founder - despite restrictions being placed on their wedding.

Just four guests and two witnesses will be allowed to attend the ceremony, as well as two security guards.

Prison marriages are so romantic.

They put metal files in the wedding cake.

I don’t understand the persecution of Assange by the US. He is not a US citizen, did not go to the US, did not commit crimes in the US, etc. He didn’t hack US content, by all accounts it was sent to him. Seems wrong and misplaced to be persecuting him.

Stella Moris is a great lady. I listened to her a while back she really cares for him.

He is a persecuted journalist which Hillary asked if she could launch a tomahawk cruise missile through his window.

What bothers me is why Trump didn't pardon him.

The First Amendment is dead.

Obama spied on journalists. Biden’s DOJ is violating direct court orders to spy on Project Veritas. Assange remains in prison.

These are all actions meant to end the First Amendment freedoms of the press.

We know how the left handled freedom of religion during Covid.

Freedom of speech is gone with the help of big tech and cancel culture.

So, the First Amendment is basically null and void.

We all know they are coming after the Second Amendment and will do whatever is necessary to end it as well.

I’ll never forgive Julian Assange. He’s directly responsible for getting a number of our US troops in heaps of trouble because they were pictured putting underwear on the heads of Islamonazis. ‘torture’ they said.

Assange wielded his journalistic powers for evil purposes, just like %99 of all journalists. Off with his head.

How do yo figure? Is questioning persecution of Assange now considered anti-American and pro-China? Priceless. /s

And Belmarsh Prison is a Category-A prison - for the worst sorts. It earned the “Guantanamo Bay of the UK” title as people were held there without convictions or trials....Ahem.

By the guy/gall who gave him all the info is walking free. Courtesy of Pres. Obama’s pardon.
It (he/she) should be shot.
Assange just published what he was given.

We need him over here to stir the pot. Maybe after we take over the White House, the white hats can engineer a deal to get him on the record.... especially about Seth Rich and “hacks”.

Yes, our citizens who shared the government data should be executed for their treason. They are the culprits here, not Assange who is really no different than any other “journalist”. Since he is not a US citizen, has apparently never been to the US, and didn’t receive or share the documents while in the US, I don’t see how the US can claim standing to charge and prosecute him. Their focus should be on treasonous US citizens.

Their focus should be on treasonous US citizens.

Right...any who voted for, supported or liked President Trump or challenged the validity of the 2020 election results.
