Hours after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky delivered a bitter speech to the Israeli parliament on Sunday condemning Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett’s mediation efforts with Russian President Vladimir Putin as an attempt to mediate “between good and evil,” the Ukrainain leader reversed course and said his country was “grateful” to Israel’s prime minister.

You are not alone.
Following the ‘democracy must be destroyed in order to preserve it model‘, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has dissolved all political opposition parties and consolidated all media.
Both of these moves are not done by someone who is championing freedom, democracy, or anti-corruption principles. These are the moves of a tyrant, and they explain a lot about why Zelensky has failed spectacularly at ending the conflict.
Zelensky isn’t done with the war. He still has moves to make, Zoom meetings to attend, and videos to release to the world. He’s building up his reputation and he loves it. No, I’m not accusing him of intentionally prolonging the war. I am accusing him of not taking the proper steps to end it. Either he’s an idiot (he’s not) or he’s a narcissist who loves the spotlight and the nearly universal praise he’s receiving from the whole world.
Zelensky will make his rounds on the international stage. He will make moves at home that consolidate his power. He will push the “war of attrition” narrative to force losses on Russia’s military and his own people while attracting Western powers to intervene. And when it’s all over, he’ll have either helped start WWIII by not stopping Russia when he had the chance or he will be victorious and become the most popular man in the world. That’s his plan and the vast majority of people seem to be playing along perfectly.
Following in the footsteps of Obama, Trudeau, Pelosi and other great WEF “leadership” trainees.
I’ll allow Zelensky some slack for not getting much sleep and for having a target on his head. He could probably use a decent speechwriter, too.
I’m somewhat sympathetic to Zelensky here. He’s in the midst of a very fluid and dangerous situation. Anyone in that position is bound to make a string of misstatements.
Contrast that with Biden’s position. There is no real pressure on him. Yet he continues to make one dumb remark after another.
No, Zelensky banned pro-Russia political parties. Big difference.
How to win friends and influence people.
Zelensky banned a political party that has 44 elected members in the government. Whether or not they are pro-Russian or not - they were elected by the people. Very un-democratic and very telling.
Z should go back to posting his homo-erotica on twitter
This guy is Mr. Bean.
Exactly. Stick to what you’re good at. The “politics in a tee shirt” thing has just been an embarrassment.
So, democracy can be suspended under certain circumstances?
When invaded and fighting for your life banning the pro-Russian party is not suspending democracy.
The actor’s writers went too far.
