Stage 1: "There was no fraud."

Stage 2: "There was a tiny bit of fraud."

Stage 3: "OK, there was a decent amount of fraud, but not enough to influence the election."

Stage 4: "There was a lot of fraud, but no way to prove whether it would have influenced the outcome of the election."

Stage 5: "There was a huge amount of fraud, a lot of proof, and possibly enough provable fraud to influence the outcome of the election, but that's in the past now."

Stage 6: "We have proof that there was almost certainly enough fraud to change the outcome of the election, but there's no legal remedy for it so we just have to live with it.

We are somewhere between stages five and six at this point.
