Ukraine rejects Russia’s demand to surrender the besieged city of Mariupol.
Ukraine’s deputy prime minister, Iryna Vereshchuk, tells Russia that Ukraine will not surrender the city.
“There can be no talk about surrender and laying down weapons,” she says.
“We have already informed the Russian side about this,” she says.

You truly need to catch up even on a little bit of history.
“They still have internet, TV, heat. I don’t think we left Iraquis with that when we did shock and awe.”
In parts of Kiev, in Lviv, and in Odessa. Not much in between. East of the Dnieper, though, utilities and infrastructure are...iffy.
Bye Bye Mariupol !!!!!!
Fact remains, they still haven’t been totally cut off.
You need to catch up on 300 or 400 years of Russian history. For someone so interested in the subject you seem to have a blank spot there.
It’s a viable strategy for a losing nation to refuse to surrender a city.
It’s imperative to know the extent of death and destruction the enemy is capable of, and willing to execute.
Mariupol will be sacrificed for this knowledge.
Resolution of all future sieges in this war depend on what happens here. It will be the model for both sides.
And it’s going to be effin’ ugly. WWII kinda ugly.
I’m guessing Marine or SOF, am I right?
“No...the Azov Nazis would not agree to that. Many vids of Mariupol residents claiming Azov won’t let them leave and keeping them as human shields.”
Bullsh!t. So, 400 guys have total control over a population of 450,000?
Perhaps some Ukrainian history would help you some. Stay away from the Biden/Obama approved history books though.
Thank you for your encouragement I’ll get right on it.
Nonsense. He invaded Ukraine because he knew NATO wouldn’t react. He would not invade a NATO country. He doesn’t even have the resources to take and hold all of Ukraine. Putin’s goals are limited.
Russia is going to send another fake hypersonic missle now.
“It’s Putin who’s deporting the population of Mariupol to concentration camps back in Russia.”
Link please.
Ever wonder why the folks at the Alamo flew a flag with the date "1824" on it? The battle occurred in 1836...
;>)
If Ukraine had done that the battle would be at Odesa now instead. Forcing Putin to struggle to steal Mariupol and especially Kharkiv is humiliating Russia and giving the defenders time to fortify the rest of the country.
My thought too, Ukraine wants to see how far Russia is willing to take this. Sad, though for the innocent people in Mariupol.
He is making it up. There is no link I am sure.
I don’t get why they think they have to make up things.
I don’t trust Russia…I don’t trust Putin.
That’s not the problem.
The problem is that I do not trust the U.S. government or the U.S. president even one iota more than I trust Russia or Putin.
